I think maybe men are bad at telling which men are attractive. Yeah getting huge muscles wont make you hot, and many typical looking guys are not as hot as they seem. Do you know any truly beautiful man? I can guarantee you he has tons of girls crushing on him. I dont have any agenda here. I'm a girl. But it seems to me you have to be pretty oblivious not to notice this. Since elementary school to highs school and uni to adulthood women and girls loudly comment on hot men, we make lists, we discuss our physical preferences, obsess over characters in popular movies (my high school days were marked by Legolas vs Aragorn vs Frodo debate - only after that did we discuss eagles and plot holes)... In school days, there would always be one or two guys (or even our hot professor) of the generation that the generation of girls below would obsess over. A hot waiter enters the room, 5 min later all girls already acknowledged it and are stalking him. Its not subtle

It doesnt need to be anything deep of course but yes, women notice and visually appreciate hot men and are in all my experience extremely vocal and open about it!

Sexual attraction does not. There is an objective scale when it comes to this and is exactly why a small portion of men sleep with a large portion of women.

Male looks as a factor for romantic success are actually heavily underrated in mainstream discourse. Narratives about women's superior morality, which obviously includes them not being superficial, are extremely pervasive. Only through the widespread availability of data from online dating, in addition to men sharing their experiences over the internet, that dogma is reluctantly challenged. And no, dismissing online dating as some sort of seperated entity with no bearing on real life is an invalid argument in 2020, akin to saying online shopping doesn't influence retail.

Anyway, saying being short/unattractive as man makes it hard to find love/sex is still a controversial statement, whereas women even managed to succesfully politicize female beauty standards and their impact to the point it's politically incorrect to criticize a woman's appearance while the reverse is very, very acceptable, e.g. negative about a man's small penis size, shortness or low muscle mass.

One of the funniest things I have read on this subreddit, is the idea that most single mothers end up single mothers because they got pumped and dumped by ‘chad.’ Just imao, have you guys ever seen deadbeat dad mugshots or database, not exactly a male model catalogue. People on this subreddit really overestimate how many super attractive men there are out there. I’ve been to several states, lived in large cities like New York and been abroad several times. Height doesn't matter as much as looks. A handsome, fit 5'8 guy, or even a decent shape, decent looking 5'11 guy, will get way more positive attention from women than a fat, ugly 6'1 guy. You're just not living in reality if you think otherwise.

Race is a bit more of a touchy subject, but it's "mattering" mostly depends on where you live and what kind of women you're pursuing.

Everything matters, some things matter more at different times.

Race matters the most initially because most people have racial preferences, some people will only date the same race as themselves, or say "I only date white or latina" or "I only date black or latina." Whatever the case may be.

After race, you have age filters.

After age filters you have "photos."

After the first meeting people look at physique (inc height.)

After physique it's about having good game (conversational skills, knowledge of how to date, practice, being comfortable, etc.)

After that it's about your personality.

So, basically, everything matters at different times.

Edit : That being said, part of "game" is also strategizing, if you're not that successful in pickup for example (I'm not) then go for LTR's, and this is where alot of incels go wrong, because most of them have chad desires and expectations, but are writing checks their butts can't cash, in that sense, incels are like failed PUA's, they want casual no-strings sex and can't get it, and they also refuse to "beta bux" or imagine that if they became relationship material, the woman would be always dreaming about "Chad."

The only physical traits that are somewhat important in men are height and race.

Race is probably the least important factor, at least for short-term relationships.

I would agree race is a more important factor for long-term relationships though.

But overall, if you have a high SMV, you can date anyone. So the most important factor is the individual one.

I am ugly and fat, but tall (6ft2) and with wide shoulders, i have a tan skin, glasses, my hair are MESSY, my style is basically black boots, t shirt and jeans, i recently started to put sunscreen because a girl i am seeing told me to lol, i always try to have some cologne but thats it, i really dont think i am good looking but i banged girl i think who were 2 points above me.
