Yes, this is essentially a NAWALT post, but a moderate one. Because it should be obvious to all that believing in literal 100% AWALT is a dimwitted, statistically indefensible position.

I would be comfortable saying that anywhere from 60-75% of women fit AWALT predictions of sexual behavior, meaning that TRP is still the most statistically likely approach to garner results. But the remainder is still significant enough to cause much confusion, and provide opportunity for alternative strategies to TRP to still be successful, for those men who find TRP either distasteful or incompatible with their personalities.

This post is more about resolving one of the most common misunderstanding that causes much talking past one another on this sub.

The issue in question is exactly how much do women find specific "asshole" behaviors sexually attractive, and how much those behaviors alone are responsible for a man being attractive.

It's hairy to disentangle because these behaviors often correlate to other hallmarks of attractive men, like status, financial success, and extroversion.

I submit that a slight majority of women almost certainly are attracted to Dark Triad asshole traits on their own, without any other buffering context. And that this subset of AWALT women are those who are most likely to exhibit positive indicators of sexual attraction, (like IOIs, and even active pursuit in the form of arranging more opportunities for the man to escalate) which are easy and reliable for men to spot, thus causing the existence of this phenomenon to be overestimated, as it is one of the very few times men will ever see such overt sexual interest from women.

The confusion comes when the nerdier, more introverted, less promiscuous and less sociosexual population of reddit women encounter TRP and PPD and proclaim that it is demonstrably false, based on their own feelings and experiences.

Neither side is lying. They're just describing different, coexistent realities. These nerdy BP women are not at the club getting fucked in a dirty bathroom. I'm not saying that such thots don't exist, and in huge, potentially majority numbers, and that TRPers are well within statistically justifiable reasons for pursuing them.

But reddit women are probably part of the silent near-majority of women who honestly are looking for low-key LTRs from dudes who are either right on the Alpha-Beta divide, or even lean slightly beta.
