Thank you and that's a lovely painting. It's nice to feel remembered on Valentine's Day, a day I have to stay far away from social media because it's so hard to cope with all the posts from what I unfortunately feel I must refer to as the "smug marrieds." I endured a 10 year marriage with my first abuser (the one who did "actually hit" me, yes in front of the kids). I never got a single rose or candy from this asshole. After separating fm him I was 4 years on my own raising my kids while working full time and going to law school before I met up with abuser #2 (emotional, psych, sexual abuse); should have believed him the 1st time when he informed me shortly into our relationship (which lasted 16 yrs till I found out about the cheating), that he "didn't do Valentines Day" because why? Because his previous gf didn't appreciate his gifts so yeah. But, oh, surprise! post breakup I found lovely emails he wrote to other women. So now, for me, it's just a day that Hallmark sells a lot of cards.
