I have a feeling that this is an American thing to do. I never heard of walk dates before I joined FDS. I simply cannot phantom the idea of girls actually having the best day of their lives because they had a walk with a random guy. Middle schoolers buy their girlfriends sandwiches or candy during their bike x park date and make a small little picknick together ffs

The park where I live at has food stalls that cook fresh food, places to sit, a lake to rent those paddle boats that are shaped like swans, feeding the stray cats and fish. At least in my city park lots of ppl do dates there because you can do a lot and there's a lot of ppl around as well. I went on a couple of dates at the park because there's so much to do and there's always ppl around. Also, public transport is close by and other places to go eat and chill are outside the park. Since it's in the middle of the city. So it's convenient and easy to get to.

I actually like walking because i can judge a guy better in an environment that is less eye contact intensive. Eye contact disrupts my thinking. also i dont like being in a cafe with someone i have known only through text, because you never know how weird or embarrasing they might be in person. I never go walking too late or in places that are abandoned.
