I can’t envision myself ever truly coupling again. I love my children, my freedom and love being alone. Happiest I’ve been in my life.

After I realized that I’m not scared to be alone, I realized I’m happier alone.

What percentage of the population wants to be alone? Do you really think it’s more women than men?

How many stay in relationships who would truly be happier alone?

I think less than 10% of the population can maintain a truly happy marriage over 30 years.

The natural state of humans seems to be alone and we’re unhappy because we’re trying to be happily coupled, when that’s just not the natural state of most people. It’s a rare exception and only the unicorns can maintain it.

Accepting this truth will make both men and women more happy.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have been more clear. I don’t mean alone socially. I think non-romantic social bonds are essential and human beings need strong communities and networks to flourish. I think a relationship is mostly for reproduction and after the reproductive years, for many people a relationship outgrows it’s usefulness. Reproduction is a really strong drive in humans and thus is obfuscates the true usefulness of male-female relationships.

People then become codependent and stay together for convenience. I feel it’s more natural to be alone than romantically coupled for long periods of time.
