I think we see ratings everywhere. Not just within this sub, or Reddit, but just in general life. I can understand that this can be a helpful way to understand where you are at in the SMV/RMV sense.

My first question is how accurate is our own perception of your rating. Some people will overrate themselves and some will under rate. So how can we even find an accurate rating? Asking others? I’ve asked friends who of course give you a high rating.

Additionally everyone’s rating of others is going to be pretty different, by the pure fact that looks and attractiveness is all so subjective.

I just don’t see the benefit of labeling people, and getting so fixated on a number. A number that mostly means nothing. Just wondering what others think of number ratings.
