The vast majority of people of both sexes will not behave in the way that this law suggests should be expected. This is by design.

The specified definition of consent does not define what aspect of the sex relates to knowledgeable and informed before consent can be given. Is it type, orifices, duration, intensity, amount of foreplay, degree of satisfaction, aesthetic nature, cleanliness, disease status (present or historical), dimensional nature, quality of the performance, etc? That's before deciding whether the information is misleading as to its accuracy.

No genders are called out. This obviously leaves a lot of gray area, but there already was a lot of gray area before when consent had no definition.

I wouldn't interpret the plain meaning of this text to be that a man must inform a woman before sex. It's not "affirmative consent". It's just clarifying that both parties must be informed when making the agreement to have sex. This would be to allow prosecution of statutory rape where nominal agreement existed, but one party was not really informed and knowledgeable about what they were agreeing to, etc.

I'm fine with this in theory. Although it remains to be seen how the courts interpret it...

Y'all can downvote me, but having read it what's the issue? The entire point of this is to show that if you told them upfront that you were having sex and they agree, that unless they can prove you lied in a way to endanger them or they can prove malice or use of force in any way that you are safe. Unless they prove your intentions were WITH malice, or with the intent of withholding dangerous information like STD testing you would be safe, they wouldn't be able to come after you because under this definition they consented! I think this actually helps us more then leaving an undefined mess that allows them to push the left open definition to the extreme.
