Men would be fools to see this. My dad loves super hero movies and we decided to pass on this. I also talked to my niece who goes to the San Diego Comic Con every year. She is skipping it. The only way these people will learn is by hitting their pocket books.

Just following in the footsteps of Gillette. I personally saw it, 5000 downvotes in two refreshes, over the course of 2 minutes...Twice. So in a matter of about 10 mins (if that long), 20,000 Downvotes vanished.

one can argue that it is more capitalism than sexism, as they stand to loose millions upon millions.

I'm good with that, because although, by doing so, they are supporting the manhate, they, like Gillette, just learned a very serious lesson about pissing men off.

They just removed bots. 58k of reviews came out on opening day while Infinity War has only 53k reviews now. The score didn't change much after removal of bots. The score is going up because some general audiences are started rating the movie (some haters review bombed as soon as the audience review is opened up) .

You guys can’t be complete unaware of this - there was a premeditated plan by some trolls to purposely skew the reviews of the movie because it had a female lead (they’ve done this before with ghostbusters and a number of women/minority lead action movies). It’s the whole reason RT changed their rules to only allow users to post reviews after a movie is already released. So these trolls all posted their “reviews” within minutes of its release, giving it a ridiculously low rating that didn’t make sense given it had only been out for an hour. This is them fixing that.

Same here. My review, after a while, keeps getting deleted from RT. It's almost as if they think that you'll not notice if they leave it there for a while and slide it out at a later date. It's annoying if only because the site should carry a disclaimer stating that "reviews may be manipulated by Rotten Tomatoes where it feels it appropriate to do so" or "we are not an independent review site and scores shown may have been altered" then people would be clear that the RT score is pure shit.

Its a movie. It has female lead. I will probably see it, hopefully i enjoy it.

If you feel in any way that a fictional movie about a super hero who happens to be female and probably has some girl power subtext to it, is infringing on your rights, im not sure you understand the problem.

More and more this sub seems to be degenerating into a zero sum game and hateful rhetoric - makes it really hard to win people over to understanding what genuine mens rights activism is. Everytime something like this pops up, it makes it harder to bring people here to show them about male genital mutilation, higher suicide rates, homelessness, violence against men etc.
