If women really are paid less then why is every business not frantically trying to hire women over men? If they really were paid 20% less for the same work every business that hires a woman would instantly increase their profits for each woman hired.

See this is the thing. This woman perfectly articulated the facts and her highly logical and fair interpretation of those facts. This is called common sense and logic. Despite this, the the gender pay gap myth is still routinely regurgitated by celebrities, bloggers, news media figures, politicians etc...

Anyone who is intelligent knows it's a myth. But they want people to believe it's a fact and that its consequences are far reaching, because their agenda is more important to them than having an honest discussion. They probably rationalize it in this way "But women need help, so it's ok if we bend the facts and lie to everyone! The ends justify the means!" There's probably also a bit of "well, men don't need help so there's no reason to take their side in any capacity!"

We're living in weird times where political correctness and the larger preferred political viewpoints are selected as the narrative that everyone needs to subscribe to. The agenda transcends intellectual honesty. Our universities are now literally brainwashing people to adopt a world view that is specifically designed to dismantle the existing social structure and replace it with... what? A system where preferred demographics that underperform due to their own decisions are put at an advantage over everyone who belongs to a demographic that is on average more successful?

She could've gone on about the type of work performed as well. Men tend to work jobs that incentivize with hazard pay. Men tend to work manual labor jobs that pay more because of the obvious. It goes on...

When taking all of that into consideration, women expect to be paid more for less work. And it's greedy more than anything.

There was a HUGE questionnaire in USA last year. They had a large amount of people respond to it and inform their pays (about 1 million people)

It turned out there was ONLY a 2% pay difference between women and men in the same positions. The difference was due to other matters such as experience, education, age etc.

The problem is, most of these "we must have equal pay" are taking their information from an old study done in the 70-80s.

The pay gap is a myth and has been debunked several times. These damn feminists just don't shut up about it and keep complaining.

Smart woman, I wish she was our president (us). From the latest studies over read, there's a 1-2% difference in pay if you adjust for hours worked, job choice, etc that there is no current good working theory on that doesn't involve some societal gender influence.

While it would be great if that were 0%, I'm fairly certain we as a society have bigger problems to attend to. Also, it's well within the standard deviation
