So no ED here but my sex drive fell off a cliff over the last several months. Mind you - not divorced yet but knew we were done and going forward with divorce since October. I am 52 and started on testosterone about a year ago - which definitely helps but is not magic. Helps to keep me horney and a bit more energy. Although over the last several months have had so much anxiety and stress that my libido tanked. I have never had a problem getting it up but have always had an issue with PE. Recently found pau yong balm and that stuff is magic - can last a long time with it.

I’ve had the same issues. Viagra saved the day. My ex cheated so mind movies I guess were the cause, plus I picked up smoking again from the stress of separation, divorce, financial ruin.

I’ve had ridiculous amounts of sex for 25 years straight - mid twenties I started running into erection issues, found viagra and mindlessly bonked my way through life , relationships , group sex , hookups , long term relationships , a decade long “marriage” before after a (unrelated) mental health related car crash (.. not mine 🧠) and divorce during corona finding out I’d been having sex with people I didn’t even like / find attractive or had a connection with purely for comfort and company … I paid for it in sex .

I never had a problem on my own .. ya that would be I don’t like people 😂 it’s odd how you can go through life without knowing either what you are or examining why something is the way it is until by accident you start to learn.

In any case don’t feel bad about it it’s pretty common in this age and probably any other but people died at 30, there was “no” porn (I mean less - just papyrus ,the one village hooker, vhs tapes ..) less entertainment , your wife couldn’t leave, the competition was mostly non existent etc ..

Start by cleaning up your diet, then get your aerobic processing effective, start losing weight, start lifting heavy weights to build strength.

Cleaning up your diet alone will help the most - no high fructose sugar, low sugar intake, no soda, cut out alcohol or smoking, eat more green vegetables, eat less processed (box) foods, reduce carbs, etc.

Lifting heavy weights will help w/ testosterone production.

I had some episodes with my ex when I just couldn't finish and that was followed with not being able to maintain it. Turns out I just wasn't into my ex and wanted it to be over.

After starting to date other women I took Viagra just to make sure that doesn't happen again. It actually worked wonders, not only with ED but it increased my sex drive, I wanted to have sex every night. I'm in my early 40s. Doc said you don't need it but I do like it as it enhances my experience quite a bit... Once I get comfortable with new partners I just stop taking it and that seems to be fine too.

I think focusing on your health alone can do wonders too. Workout at the gym, get rid of your gut, do some cardio as that's great for blood flow and cardiovascular health in general, get laid with a few women that you like and want to get with. I have a feeling a lot of it is psychological. Once you start having some wins with women, you feel confident with your body, sex is pretty amazing. I have a harder time finishing twice on the same night so I don't usually try it unless I'm with the right partner.

I would like to look at testosterone levels and ways to boost that. I'm just not ready to commit to TRT just yet but I heard many men in late fourties are having some success with it. Right now Im trying to find natural ways of keeping those levels healthy. I heard keeping lean, good diet, gym and active lifestyle help with it, and also make you look better so why not dedicate some more time to that. My 2c

P.S. just something worth mentioning. I was in my late 20s and had problems with ED when I got together with some women. It might have been anxiety related or something related. I feel I had more issues than today which makes me think a lot of it is in your head, possibly with self-image.

Make an appointment with your doc and get some answers and suggestions. I dealt with that too. Mine was more nerves. Eventually it went away.

OK, guys this is something that nobody talks about, of course you have some slight form of ED, you just spent what? 10-20-30 years with a partner and there was some form of connection for you and now that's gone, its sex without emotion, just straight sex and many guys struggle to get past that phase, i dated a women on/off for a year and i was back to normal with her, but i had feelings for her, i do not give every women my full sexual ability, why? because if I'm not that into them, i dont give as much. So the partner and the connective tissue matter, i have gotten better at soulless sex, but I'm certainly not bragging about it, give it time and the right partner, remember that long relationship, means your wife knew what you liked and now the new gal doesn't, it takes time and the right partner, youll be fine.

Damn I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm at a year and a half post divorce and same thing. With my ex full mast. With someone new can't quite perform the same. I actually sucked it up and made a doctors appointment that is actually today to talk about it.

Funny thing is even if I give my ex a hug I feel it coming back. Dates with other women...nothing. I have zero desire.

After my divorce I thought I had ED. Saw my Dr and he said it’s normal in situations like this where testosterone can drop temporarily and said we will monitor it. He was right, I’m good now.

Still going through divorce after infidelity. It has totally fucked me up. Have a hard time getting it up even just to masturbate. If I do get it up, a lot of the time I just go soft half way through. Haven't even bothered trying to date because I know it's going to be an issue.

It was crazy for me. I would hook up with my ex, no problem, but I'd hook up with a new woman and it would be at half mast. I really loved sex and always wanted to try new women when I was married, but now when I had the chance, it was not working.

Thanks to reddit I found out this is a common issue after divorce. Then I went to a urologist and went on Cialis. The strange thing is I'm hard at home, but when I'm next to a woman that's not my ex, it's a no go. With Cialis it helped a lot and my sex life went from 2/10 after divorce to 9.5/10.

I also have trouble with finishing, but it went from like 2 in 10 times to 8 in 10 times now. My gf is also bummed when it doesn't happen, but since it went from 2 in 10 to 8 in 10 she is happy now.

The ED and struggle to finish are related. It’s pretty common after infidelity and divorce, which are both a mind fuck. As you get more distance, and more indifferent, both issues are likely to resolve on their own as you heal.
