Ex and i bought house in 2016 (2 kids) and she initiated divorce in 2017. Of course, she was cheating with co-worker almost that whole time She wanted to remain married 10 more years until kids turned 18. Lol. Nah...'i'm not that guy". I went and filed and did all the divorce legwork, just like everything else in the marriage.

The good news about cheating spouses is if you move quick, you can get a more favorable ruling in some cases. They are blinded by the affair. She said i could keep the house. I refinanced to get her off the deed. It was a struggle honestly. The payment was over $3500. It was mainly the escrow that kept going up, especially windstorm which is required where i live. The escrow portion alone was $2000 per month. I make decent money, but it was rough at times.

Anyway.....getting ready to put on the market in April. Like most homes, the value started going up in 2020. Her first comment was "how much money from the home sale do I get?". This was a karma moment. "LOL...nothing" was my reply. It's just hilarious how they always have their hand out, even years later. Would she pay half the debt if i was under water on the house? F NO. She has not talked to me since. I don't give a single f. My oldest has lived with me 100% for years (her choice) and i have not asked for a penny.

I thought this was comical. Appreciate you guys. You might not always agree with my comments but we all share a common bond. If i knew you personally, i'd be there whether we agree or not. Make it a good one, men!
