I (47M) finalized my divorce with (42F) in June. Part of the agreement was she can stay in the house until she find a reasonable place for her and the kids, and gave her up to a year to do that, I know that sounds ridiculous, but the avoid court and just get it done, I agreed.

I’m likely 2 weeks from finalizing the ReFi to buy her out, once that’s done and the house is officially mine, I’m going to put a few new rules in place. Let me know if I’m missing anything.

  • Do not touch the thermostats (she doesn’t it just to fuck with me)
  • Do not open the blinds (she likes to shower in the ground floor bathroom, but opens the blinds that look right into our neighbors kitchen and others that other neighbors can see. Someone randomly sent a letter to our house last year asking her not to be naked in the windows)
  • Do not wear shoes upstairs and do not ever put shoes in the dishwasher (she always had a rule of no shoes in the house and we took them off in the entryway, since the divorce she wears shoes all over, including upstairs where the bedrooms are)
  • Do not EVER leave the front or back door unlocked or open (has been doing this BS for a few years because she hates looking for her keys in her bag. We live in a safe place, not worried about anyone coming in, but still)
  • Do not park in the driveway (park in the street)
  • My bedroom is off-limits to you. I have converted part of the bedroom into an office when I work from home, sometimes our kids hang out in there with me, she feels like she can just come in and hang out too, but I need 1 peaceful place)
  • No masturbating in our son’s room (I have a camera in my office/room and it has alerts for loud noise too. I lock my bedroom door when I’m not home, a few times when I’m out with the kids the noise alert has gone off and I can hear that she is loudly masturbating in my sons room, which is right next to mine. My daughters room is too far and you can’t pick up any noise and she has been sleeping on the floor in my sons room)
  • No one allowed in the house (she’s been inviting her new weird friends into the house, unaware how uncomfortable that makes the rest of us)
  • Do not unplug appliances (lately been unplugging the microwave, toaster and Roomba, this makes zero sense, I think like the thermostat, just a way to mess with me)

What else can I add? What did I miss?
