Downvote me all you like but as a lady I can offer some special perspective:

From your post, seeing that you’re considering escorts, I don’t think I’m wrong to assume that you just want sex. Right? Like with a hot person? If that’s all you want then yes get an escort, works out for everyone, they get paid and you get laid.

But.

If you give ANY evidence that that’s all you want to women on dating websites (outside of hookup ones) you’re screwed cause you’ll never get screwed. Women there are usually looking for long haul lovers and yes probably most of them want kids. It’s okay that you don’t but yes your pool will be smaller.

Frankly, if you’re feeling the way you seem to be expressing yourself here, I imagine you’re giving women on these sites some bad vibes, some kind of desperate “please fuck me” vibes which exactly zero women want to deal with. I don’t care how cool you are or what your interests are or how many instruments you play.

Note that if you do call an escort, you may narrow the dating pool even further, not every lady wants to date someone who has that kind of history, they may feel it makes you harder to trust in the long run (like you’d presumably have to stop doing that when in a committed relationship, future gf might feel weird about it, concerned/can’t trust you, idk, not necessarily but it could have an impact too).

I’m sure you’re a nice human, probably even more handsome than you realize, so take it easy and think about what you really want. You do have options. But respect that no kids limits them potentially dating-wise and that’s okay. Just keep going until you find the right match OR yeah call up some escorts. Whatever brings you peace.

Online dating is a mess. Start by putting yourself in the shoes of the person you want to date? Are they on an app? or are they out there doing hobbies and interacting with people in a more organic way? Perhaps consider shifting from a low quality/high quantity paradigm to a higher quality/lower quantity one. The best way to create a relationship is to approach it like creating a friendship (i.e. look for ways to genuinely connect with someone).

Consider that the low quality buckshot approach is being used by everyone, so that kind of online dating is going to get lost in the noise

Figure out your hobbies, and then join social groups with others who share said hobbies. Bond with people over hobbies = happiness.

There’s nothing wrong with the escort thing if it’s legal where you are.

The key is figuring out what you want. And then seeing how other people got there. Then mimmick them. The hobby thing is great for social though.

If this is something you are seriously considering, then I would say look for escort review and discussion boards. Those people will let you know who is genuine vs who might be scamming. Who is a real independent provider or professional(e.g. brothels run by women) and who might be someone who is being trafficked. Sex workers are active online and tend to interact with these kinds of communities and will warn eachother and possible patrons about certain individuals.

There is a lot of stigma around sex work, and people tend to group it into two categories: A. The women who do it don't actually want to do it and you're contributing to patriarchy and misogyny B. Sex workers have agency and all labor is exploitative and alienating the sex workers are not alienated from their own labor and they manage who they will and will not see and nobody should be telling women(feminist or otherwise) how or what to do with their bodies.

The common reaction is to put it back on the person struggling. Something YOU are doing is wrong. Its not that you have bad luck, its not that you're frankly not as attractive as some of the other men that the woman you swiped on has matched with already. Sometimes it has nothing to do with you and things are just beyond your control for a period of time. It happens to most men. The same images, the same messages, and the same profile description may get you a ton of results for one or two months but then....radio silence for two or 3 months.

Explore the reasons you want to see an escort. What are you hoping will happen? What do you think it will change about you or your life?
