Straight truth, right here.
If a man is not willing to provide for me, I'll continue to keep it simple by continuing to provide for myself.
[–]Nicolo_UltraFDS Newbie180 points181 points182 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Takes half the time and resources to provide for myself alone. If he’s not adding, he’s just subtracting. Don’t make your life a losing game, ladies.
[–]purasangriaRuthless Strategist56 points57 points58 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly! Just do your own thing, and enjoy the peace.
[–]CassieGreen85FDS Apprentice121 points122 points123 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
What's more, by just providing for ourselves, we don't have to deal with the hassle of dating, pleasing his ass, spending money, time and effort into "looking attractive for him," we don't have to deal with sexist bullshit...
Basically we can focus all our love, effort and other resources on ourselves and those we deem worthy. Dating a man TAKES AWAY that focus to "share" with the man, but the man rarely/never puts the same quality and quantity of resources on women.
So overall, we're actually wasting our resources and lowering the quality of our life and health when we date and give LVM "a chance." Why would any woman want to do that, if she hadn't been forced, conditioned and brainwashed to do so?
[–]StrainingMyNeuronsFDS Newbie59 points60 points61 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
And mind you, he won’t be “giving you a chance” about anything in the end, because he deserves only the very best. 🤢
[–]CassieGreen85FDS Apprentice57 points58 points59 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yep! Too many men just marry (or have forever GFs) because it's the only regular sex they're getting (and they feel entitled to, as they're "in a relationship"), on top of all the perks of living with a woman who cleans, cooks, raises your kids, is a sounding board for your mental issues, gives sex... So yeah, of course men will "stay" but the moment they can bag a younger woman? You're in the trash.
[–]PottyMouthxFDS Newbie14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
The time and beauty products a woman spends on a date with LVM are 10 times more worth than the monetary value of dinner/lunch.
[–]CassieGreen85FDS Apprentice3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeap! Men don't realize (and DON'T want to realize) that the type of women they "like" and "follow" ALL use products to enhance their features, or cleanse/clear/solve/cover others, but those results can often only be achieved by regular, diligent, constant routines that can last months to years.
Getting certain hairstyles means not only an expensive trip to the stylist, it often means special shampoo, conditioner, other hair products, on top of a special sleeping routine, waking up routine.
Skin with no blemishes, unevenness and other skin issues requires VERY specific products (and often, even with professionals, requires trial and error to get right), to be applied for a minimum of a handful of months to years (this is NOT sth that happens in a few weeks!). On top of having to change your diet, because often skin issues can be linked to what you eat.
This is just TWO things I can think of the top of my head that require a rigorous mentality; I've yet to see a man that is not a narc put as much effort into keeping his body looking good AND healthy.

Meanwhile, they also expect their partner to clean up after them, do all of the household chores, maintenance, dishes and household laundry while they do nothing but pay their fair share of the bills. Nah. I'm happier living alone and not being a maid and sex toy. Bye! As if putting a label on your "relationship" means anything when you work full time and cook and clean up after another adult 100% of the time who also demands unsatisfying sex on the regular and that you pay for yourself and split shared bills 50/50 🙄 The first time my last partner expected that, I walked right away. That was a few years ago. Ladies, they always come crawling back when you walk away with dignity. Never, ever accept them back but know they think you were "the one that got away". They'll try to play you with that line. They tend to say "I always think about you", to which I shoot that rubbish down right away with "Aww! That's sweet but I never think about you." Walk away from these types and never look back.

They essentially want a full-time employee but offer shitty benefits and expect you to make up the slack with a side hustle.

Lol! I love this comment. They demand "equality" whilst still expecting a mommy figure/porn star/housewife/non-existent female figure to cater to them while offering nothing in return.

And they start so young! What is it with men being so dramatic over break ups?
My first used me for sex, broke up with me when I got either "too emotional" or "too much because baggage, tried to get back with me as fwb (LOL) when I was dating someone else, and then had the audacity to say he "loved me so much" in front of his mcds date to a friend of mine who was working there. 🙄
When he told me he missed me and asked me if I wanted to be fwb with him while I was dating someone else, I tore into him. It felt AMAZING to tell him there was 0 reward for me if I went back to anything with him and that I was sure any man I was with in the future would be better than him.
No paragraph and I think he said something like it was jnfair or mean of me to say that. 🤷♀️ Idc. Block.
He probably hasn't changed and has A LOT of women who "got away".

Also men : well if you guys want equality, then boys should be able to hit girls
Like why is that the first thing they think of !!!!

Because they're cowards and idiots. On average, men have 40% more upper body strength than women - fact. They are also taller and heavier. A man hitting me, an average sized woman, would be the same thing as me beating up a small child, maybe a 9 or ten year old. How is that equal?

This is one of the scariest things that scrotes say. It’s like they fantasize having power/dominance over women and just treating them so violently, all because women want to be treated like, I don’t know, a HUMAN BEING WITH RIGHTS???
[–]littleredpartydress_FDS Newbie6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women: hey could you maybe not dehumanize and think of us as your domestic sex slave fill in mommy you are entitled to with no effort?
Men: feminism has gone way to far. The delusion is unbelievable me and my dick have decided together that woman are once again hysterical and men hating old hags
[–]CloacaDiddlerFDS Newbie71 points72 points73 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It seems like while men had the power, pushing stereotypes were all well and good. But now that women can control their own lives, voluntarily choose who they want to be with, make an independent living, it’s like men collectively as a species just rolled over and said “well fuck it, I ain’t contributing anymore.” Really telling of their true feelings and “instincts.” If they can’t have all the power, they don’t want to protect and provide. Women have always needed the most protecting from other men anyway, and now we have to make the same wage, work the same hours, AND come home and do all the house work, childcare, and emotional labor? There has never been an easier time to be a lazy, selfish man. Women needed feminism - we got the jobs and the vote, but now men need the education on how to sweep a floor or cook a freaking hamburger. And it needs to be societally pushed as normal, none of this “congratulations, your man “babysat” the kids for an hour so you could shower awww he does so much” bullshit.
Oh! My coworker had to start picking up different hours due to covid struggles. She’s been working so hard and yes, doing all the cooking, remodeling the kitchen, teaching the kids, and managing the house. And the kids have started asking her to stop working so much so she can be around more. One of them complained she doesn’t cook as much for them anymore. Yep - she’s got all the expectation to provide half the income and also stay at home full time somehow because her womanly duties are slacking. You know they’ve never asked the dad to cook the meals or quit his job to be around more. And this woman is the most optimistic, kind hearted saint I’ve ever met - I just want more for her even though she’s twice my age.

I’ve always said that men are only concerned with gender equality only when they want to get out of something.
[–]sadcelloFDS Apprentice80 points81 points82 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

A boss I used to work for when giving a speech at a women's conference aimed at female inclusivity in male dominated spaces:
"We need gender gender diversity, not because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes business sense."
🙄🙄🙄🤦
[–]sadcelloFDS Apprentice7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's true, companies ride the bandwagon of diversity because 1. Globalization, white people are a tiny minority compared to every other race, they have to expand their target demographic to sell more stuff and 2. Hiring women and minorities means lower salaries.
No companies ever care about women or minorities issues, it's all about money.

[–]honeybeerollFDS Disciple3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Deadass, very telling that the focus for most people when it comes to gender equality is always money, and always splitting the bill. The only """non equal""" thing they care about is getting rid of the work men used to do, and passing it all to women.
[–]littleredpartydress_FDS Newbie50 points51 points52 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Honestly it was never the gender roles that pisses me off the most it was always the hypocrisy and the AUDACITY to expect everything when they’ve got nothing to give, not even a little appreciation or respect
[–]GourmayFDS Newbie43 points44 points45 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I do think those of us who are dating right now have unfortunately ended up with a generation of men who are confused about their roles and because they were told that women are independent now yadiyada are using it as a cop out to say “hey I don’t need to do shit for you anymore” when women are not treated as equals in most places and are still largely expected to handle the home chores.

Yeah, us women have it so easy. Getting our drinks spiked, the threat of rape and knowing we aren't as physically strong as men. Our lives are on the line. They make it sound like being able to get sex easier than them is the be all and end all. Yes, we just love to be used for our bodies.

Men who only work office job with mediocre salary still have the audacity to demand their partner to do stereotypically "woman chores". Like yeah women back then did that however men's responsibilities were also higher, working environment wasn't as safe, and everything was more difficult because of the absence of technology! Nowadays both women and men work office job and women are still expected to do (majority of) house chores and child care!

My MIL cannot grasp how I get her son to do certain things. Because it’s both of our jobs to make sure stuff gets paid and done around the house! The best was her asking how I get him to change his own daughters diaper, luckily he spoke before I did and explained how it’s his kid too! When the kids were younger we took turns on everything. Now that they are older it just comes naturally to who’s turn it is. But now I mostly cook, only because I prefer to. But he cleans and does laundry and basically whatever else. If he wants me to slave over the housework, his ass better work 2-3 jobs to support that lifestyle and he knows it!!! Luckily he grew to be better than his parents.
[–]flowers4uFDS Newbie2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is great and also her comment is so rude to her son! Like yea typically men didn’t do a lot of the baby/kid stuff but I think most men enjoy it in the sense that they are being equal and want to be a part of their kids lives. So I feel bad for him that his mom had such low expectations.
[–]Llama_Llama_SugamamaFDS Newbie1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think his mom being the way she is and living the life she lived made him realize he doesn’t want to treat women like that. Granted neither of us are perfect but we work together to have what we have and give our kids the best life we can. I really screwed up picking my first daughters bio-dad, but made the right decision with my second. And now his name is on my oldest birth certificate as well, and he is raising her as his own flesh and blood. He is a really amazing dad!!!

I want to just make sure I understand it right. So we want to be sure that we can provide for ourselves (not be trapped to a man's income) but he also needs to show that he is willing and able to provide for us (generous + loving)? That makes sense, I don't want to date a brokeass with no car. Never again loll

This makes me so angry. This was my ex. He wanted a woman to cook and clean for him but he wouldn't provide for me. He wouldn't even move in with me and split the bills. I work more than full time hours but I was still somehow a shitty girlfriend for not cooking for him... when he didn't even live with me. And I barely had the time to do the things I needed to do for myself at my own damn house and for my dog. He had his mom come by to clean his place for him - which he had asked me to do for him, to which I stupidly agreed, but he needed to make time for me to do it because I didn't have a key for his place. So cue him freaking out about me being a "bad girlfriend" for not nagging him to let me into his place to clean it.
Men have become completely fucking deranged.
