Before I read this I just knew it was incel related. We just don’t have mass shootings in the UK. So it had to be hate-fuelled for it to happen

So, if you hate a different religion and act on that that’s terrorism, but if you hate half the world’s population and act on it, it’s not.

I’ve been saying this for a while....it’s really problematic to only focus on extreme misogyny committed by BAME/ religious folks etc....western white men have plenty of issues too.

It’s not a battle of who has it worse as clearly misogyny is worse in some countries and cultures. But I get really tired of people playing down the misogyny and overt racism of modern white men. They have more privilege than most & it makes them very entitled/ narcissistic.

Yes there are laws surrounding rape in western countries but here only 1.6% of cases make it to court....so are these laws really fit for purpose? Or are they just a front?

The media is super hesitant to report these deranged men as terrorists or expose their organised networks of misogyny preferring to play on their poor mental health ...but leaps at stories of Muslim terrorists.

The media prefers to paint them as poor lonely victims suffering ill mental health and individualises their organised misogyny as ‘lone shock cases’ even though there’s been multiple terrorists/murderers involved in incel and bdsm communities by now.

The manosphere is practically a religion to these men, let’s be real. They have disturbing beliefs and are politically organised- they distribute and share vile content. They seek to ‘punish’ anyone who doesn’t fall in line. They have certain expectations of how women should behave to them. And they’re willing to kill and abuse.

The only thing deterring most modern white men is possible career & social consequences to THEMSELVES which is why white western men prefer using methods of extended insidious emotional abuse longterm...though plenty of them commit physical abuse/ rape & get away with it.

It gets swept under the rug though, because they feel ‘morally superior’ to Indians raping women for example.

They tend to blame their personal failures on ‘black men stealing their women’, ‘feminism allowing women entering the workplace’ or ‘Muslims stealing their jobs’. It’s because disturbed white male wimps find it easier to blame minorities rather than taking a DEEP look at themselves.

This is funny to me given the number of white men who prey on young vulnerable women from troubled homes , rape them & get away it bc those young girls have no faith in the justice system regarding rape. They are far too easily dismissed as ‘lying whores’ & their case gets dropped.

Not to mention white men watching ‘stepdaughter’ incest porn/ involved in BDSM & repeatedly cheating on partners /committing domestic violence or emotional abuse. Which they also get away with.

Then there’s the white men capitalising off the 50/50 nonsense / women working and fawning mental health issues to leech off women & abuse them longterm. Many of them suddenly ‘lose their jobs’ or ‘suffer bad mental health’ when they move in with a pick me longterm.

In some strange way this actually fuels their superiority complex/ racism/entitlement and their misogyny constantly gets eclipsed by BAME people.

And white men have curated this toxic self-victimising culture where they guilt trip everyone because they feel bad that people are holding them responsible for their exploitation of women and minorities.

It’s always boohoo, poor porn sick white man can’t rape or abuse as many women as he’d like to. Poor white man can’t hurl racism at black ppl whenever he likes. Poor white man has to work with a ‘brown person’. Poor white man has to compete with women in the workplace. Such victim 🥲

This is expected when dismantling longstanding systematic structures of exploitation. Those who do most of the oppressing will spit their dummies out and claim they have zero power. That the oppressed aren’t actually oppressed& never were. Women’s lives on easy mode sound familiar? Incels love that one. That they are the true victims because they’re having their assumed privileges revoked and their degenerate actions criticised.

This isn’t to say we should stop talking about Pakistani men who groom young women, honour killings or cultural misogyny elsewhere. And I’m not playing down the serious nature of those issues or the things Pakistani women face. I don’t think we should shy away from those conversations. But we also shouldn’t forget about the endless white western men- with no religion- doing that too.

‘White culture’ is far too often seen as the default and assumed pillar of morality- and because of this...it’s like their misogyny gets dismissed or diluted. This is ironic given the sharp increase of white men consuming incest and graphic violent teen porn. Expecting women to pay for them to abuse them. And the rise of white men joining the Alt Right with their neo nazi misogynist views.

Unchecked male entitlement + unchecked misogyny + hours spent on online manosphere groups + hours spent on access to unlimited free violent and sexist pornography + unrealistic beauty and lifestyle standards in the media + unchecked poor mental health and/or hidden disabilities + lack of (meaningful) purpose/direction in life.

Many women also greatly suffer with the last three and in some cases porn addiction (although porn addiction in women is more likely to lead to them allowing harm to themselves, rather than inflicting it on others) and they aren't slaughtering innocent people.

They need to regulate the media, internet, no porn should be free and should also be regulated. When they didn't give the full details last night when the news first broke, I just knew it was an incel, I think it's only going to get worse if drastic action isn't quickly taken.

Edit Also lad culture for it's equating sexual conquests and the objectification of women to the epitome of masculinity. You don't see women who can't get a boyfriend or sex killing people in revenge.

I've seen men who would be broadly considered less attractive than this and other incel killers, who are able to get sex and girlfriends. I can't help thinking they feel entitled to a '10/10' woman, like the ones they masturbate over, porn and the media encourage constant comparison and 'who's got the best/more (looks, women, sex, money, popularity etc' mentality. If he was being rejected by girls, it could well have been his attitude, mentality and entitlement that held him back.

This is horrific. Mass shootings just aren't a thing here. I wondered how long it would be before we experienced our first incel murderer but my god. His goal was probably to make people feel less safe, and congrats, he's succeeded. I feel less safe after reading this.
