My friend Hannah recently downloaded Hinge to try dating again and she was showing me her profile and said “oh yeah this is my thirst trap photo” it’s a photo of her that doesn’t particularly look like her compared to the other photos. It’s positioned in a low angle, she looks like she’s smiling but it doesn’t look like her smile and she’s wearing a lot of make up and red lipstick.

The rest of her photos are either idyllic head shots or ones of her at work (tech).

She said that 100% of the time that men like the thirst trap photo and comment on it, the comments have always been sexual. Every. Time.

So now if anyone so much as likes it, even without commenting she rejects them instantly.

Thought it was a good strategy to share!

Edit: It’s not a particularly sexy photo, it’s one you would share with your grandma for example. She’s just wearing red lipstick, taken from the shoulders up.
