No, no and no it doesn't. Which all men in my work confirm. They don't care to be equal in their relationships, they want what's beneficial for them. Sure, I've bought the popcorn when the man have bought the movie tickets, pick me up at my place, driven me there and it was our 7-10th date. But buying a man a suit!?

Firstly it would be more expensive than the shoes he bought (so not equal already there in the same as lunch is cheaper than dinner most times) and secondly we are not mommy girlfriends we don't buy clothes to a man. If he's over a certain age and have enough social skills to be invited to anything from a funeral to a graduation he should already be owning one himself. Also socks and underwear. Damn.

Some of the worst mistakes i made with dating were because it never occurred to me that men don't think like me. You set yourself up for failure, for getting really hurt, when you think men and women are the same. AFTER you two got married and he proves, without a doubt, that he is a HVM. Than of course you will share the burden of the household because that's natural. Though the husband is the provider, so he is financially responsible for the household. Division of labor is still strictly 50/50 tho.

I was in a relationship where we shared bills and respected each other + I see other long term couples doing this (Denmark), especially in Scandinavia.
