My husband and I continue our tradition that he started when we were dating. Our very first Valentine’s Day, he purchased a small weekend getaway, got flowers and a card and took me out to a cute little pub in a little coastal town in Northern Michigan. We hiked up and sledded down the sand dunes along Lake Michigan.

It’s still one of the best trips ever, I look forward to it every year.

Stay in, draw some maps, paint some minis. Make my favorite meal and chill out to some games or something. It’s 100% Me-Time and I plan on utilizing it to the fullest. :D

I’m single and I’ll be watching my siblings while my parents go out. (Autistic adult siblings.) Not a bad way to spend the evening IMO. We’re going to get pizza, paint sugar cookies and hang out.

I have to work Friday and all this weekend (I tried to get time off but everyone else at work is insisting on taking this weekend off specifically and I’m not happy about it).

I mentioned to my boyfriend about a month ago that I was upset because I wanted to spend time with him this weekend. Yesterday he said that it was okay, that we would make up for it the weekend after, and that he’s already researching nice restaurants to take me to.

I don't know. I was informed last week that I'm "not allowed to go in Hall closet." And honestly, whatever it is is great. I swear I'm not being a Pickmeisha. He's generally a great gift giver, but Valentine's day is very arbitrary to our lives. I haven't even picked anything up for him yet. I know whatever it is that he thought about it a solid week before Valentine's day, it will be wrapped, and he will have a card in it with something sweet written. He puts forth the effort and I never have to ask for it. I never feel like an afterthought.

My birthday is this week, so I'm going to be driving home from school for most of Valentine's Day to be with my mom and our dog. I did recently meet a guy I am SUPER attracted to and so far think is a HVM (smart but not conceited, emotionally intelligent, takes 'no' well, pays for dinner) buuuuuut I ain't a clown so I'm going to spend time with the woman who I KNOW supports me and will have fun with me rather than a guy who, odds are, will end up disappointing me anyway.

UPDATE: He disappointed me. So glad I chose to go home and see my dog!! 🐶❤

I’m waiting to see what the guy I’ve been seeing does or doesn’t do, he’s asked me if I’m working or not so I’m hopeful something is in the works, and I purchased a gift for him and a have a plan myself, BUT I’m going to wait and see his actions before I reciprocate (or not) and I’m planning to use it as a springboard for a nice relaxed conversation either way.

If he doesn’t acknowledge the day then I’m gonna have to have a “what’s up?” Talk and then act from there. (Possible bye bye)

If he does then again I’d want to talk (I really like this, where do we stand?) and again possible bye bye depending on his reaction for either scenario.

Fingers crossed it goes well, I’m very, very happy in his company so far, like happiest I’ve ever been in my life, BUT I don’t want to waste my time, he’s absolutely non verbal in his affection but is a total gentleman, pays for everything, helps me out, buys me thoughtful things, and makes me feel known he just can’t seem to verbalise his feelings. (He’s acknowledged that and apologised as well)

Wow did I need to vent or what lol. I love you wonderful ladies, it’s so alien for me to make a point of making sure I’m getting a ‘good deal’ and be okay with standing up for how I feel I deserve to be treated, but I’m trying my best!

It’s a surprise. I was told the kids will be taken to grandmas for the weekend and he gave me the hint that we won’t be sleeping at home for the weekend. I’m excited 😊. I got him a few things but he’s the breadwinner currently.

I work at a jewelry store, so Valentine’s Day is one of our biggest days. I always get very disheartened and a little enraged by the amount of guys who come in SO last minute for their wives, or even worse don’t even know what their wives like. It’s like pulling teeth sometimes. At least I get a good commission check though 💁‍♀️

My boyfriend planned a surprise for me a few weeks ago but because he told me I’d need a swimsuit in February I asked him to please just tell me what we were doing, lol. We’re going to a luxurious bathhouse and getting massages. Followed by my favorite dessert in the city. It’s also a tradition that he brings me lunch on actual Vday and we have a picnic in the car so I can escape from work for a bit. I got him chocolate covered cherries for our picnic but I got him concert tickets for his actual gift. We keep a Christmas low key because we love Vday and like to go all out.
