I met this guy playing basketball with a group of friends. He found me on Facebook through our mutual friends and messaged me, and we started talking. He said he's looking for a relationship and we were sharing back and forth how we could imagine dating life together. We seemed really compatible.

After the next weekly game we went out to lunch. It was great, seemed into me, we shared a nice kiss and hug. After that he started to get more sexually flirty in text. I played along somewhat because I felt it too and it seemed like a natural progression. But then remind him how I want to move slow with what we do together, but find him attractive and am excited to progress. Want to go on dates and spend time together.

He then completly shifts and starts trying to guilt me about how flirty I am while playing basketball with him and said I'm acting like I'm interested but it will never happen. Like, what? Why not play it out a few weeks and see? Go on more than one date with me so we can actually get to know each other in person. Enjoy other kinds of sexy touching or kissing? He'd really rather lose any possibility of sex with me because he can't be bothered to make me comfortable getting to know him, a stranger?

I feel like I keep experiencing this on dates. The guy always has to end the date or even in the middle with an un-asked for kiss or too much touching.

It's like the opposite of the saying a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. They'd rather turn me off so early pushing sex and having to start all over again with another woman. Seems so short sighted of getting what they want, a consistent sexual partner. And supposedly a relationship and wife.
