It's bad enough people deny misandry being real (which it very much is and is deeply embedded in much of society), but it's just as bad when people say it's harmless and is nowhere near as dangerous as misogyny is. Misogyny always gets attention and action taken against it and it's always taken seriously (as it should), but the same is never done for misandry. Misandry is a major reason there's never any campaigns to raise awareness about violence against men and how male abuse victims experience discrimination by being turned away by abuse shelters, how things like rape, domestic violence, etc. are still largely thought to be male on female where there's many other instances of the other way around. Beyond men also denied due process, still the ones who have to register for the draft, boys doing poorly in schools and of course how infamously biased courts are against men. And what would you call no consequences for people who post hateful things like #KillAllMen on social media?

Misandry is anything but "harmless" and is not only incredibly harmful but it's gotten to a point it's downright malignant. And the scary irony of it is that people denying misandry's existence or claiming it's nowhere near as harmful as misogyny is a major reason you have some men who genuinely grow to hate women and become misogynists who seek to do them harm. It goes to show both misandry and misogyny are real and fuel each other. The fact people deny misandry being real and will claim it's harmless only makes it that much more insidious than people realize.
