Pretty much all of those arguments are the exact same ones people bring up if racism against whites is mentioned. Why? Because having an actual discussion on either topic would erode the hierarchy of oppression that intersectionalists require to thrive. If everyone is oppressed somehow, they're no longer special and deserving of unfailing reverence without question.

Notice all of these "terms" when it comes to men for just trying to make a point or establish some type of fairness within today's society. Mansplaining, toxic masculinity, incels the list goes on when men try to speak or share their emotional concerns.

Then when it comes to sexism, I'll give an example: "Men shouldn't be sexist or objectify women, we don't want to be seen as a sexual object but as a person". Ok, cool that's fine and completely fair. Now we have a Rhode Island Senator "twerking" for votes upside down at a beach on Tik Tok and doubling down. Looks like when they objectify themselves for personal gain, its completely fine. Trauma can and DOES happen to BOTH genders

This is why I believe equality is so important, it takes away the reliance on(in this case) feminists having empathy for men and instead allows you to show how things are treated on the other side as a basis for how treatment for men should be. Otherwise feminists just argue personal responsibility for men's problems and society responsibility for women's problems and since society is gynocentric men will always lose out in that debate.

There's an important aspect to this that you've missed!

They choose to say "whining" because men are not supposed to whine. It's unmasculine and childish (read: unmasculine).

They often use other demasculating words like "crying", "sobbing", "tantrum", "babies", etc.

Traditional masculinity says that men must be always calm, capable and competent. Comparing men to unruly children is comparing them to the antithesis of manhood.

In short. feminists are using traditional / "toxic" masculinity to punish men who step outside the feminist narrative.

Feminists love traditional male gender norms because they use them to emotionally abuse men.

That's why male feminists act like all the flagrantly hateful things that feminists say don't matter much. They're proving how tough and stoic they are by not reacting to the sordidly bigoted things their female friends and partners say about men on the regular.

Male feminists are trapped by traditional gender roles. Every time. That's why they're guaranteed to use terms like 'whining' or 'crying' because they like to show how tough they actually are compared to all these "babies" who "whine about" feminism (and care about equal human rights).

Men need feminism like a fish needs a bicycle.

I appreciate your post, but I think it’s more important to focus directly on rape laws and the necessity of them becoming and remaining gender neutral because rape is still rape regardless of the gender and that’s how it should and must be.

But this thread should not be a soap box to derail about who has or gets what, rather it goes further when specific/necessary issues are addressed and stuck to the point.

“Men are oppressed in every format” Means you are just purposefully detracting from the topic because you are deliberately blocking forward thinking discussion for the betterment of everyone just because you want to make it a debate.

This isn’t a debate, because right is right and wrong is wrong: rape laws exclusive to one gender is wrong when anyone can be raped and every one should be protected.

The reason it’s (as in some of the replies here) are seen as ‘whining’ sometimes is because the topic of importance is dodged around, for example, currently there are 35 replies and less than half of them are even attempting to address the specific topic of the OP in the first place.

It doesn’t mean it is less important, but there are people who legitimately do care about this topic and then some of the replies and commentary are detracting from it.

For example one of the replies taking the topic that addresses rape laws, and trying to make it in to a topic of ‘who gets more sick from the flu’ that is why it’s viewed as just whining— because people actually want to get shit done and make a difference, but some people will say anything they can to detract from it because they do not want change, they just want to whine.
