Hypothetically the modern world would be better of if 50% of all humans would disappear.

Men will be valued more because of the scarcity.

Either women would despair or would be happy in their awesome harems with 9 other women. Nah, I think that would lead to more unhappiness

I think we could get by on 1 man for every 3 women. More than that is just being greedy. We need sufficient male population to keep inventing, building and maintaining things, after all. Too many women around, and the men will be too busy fucking, policing and dealing with their nonsense to get any real work done.

I think a better solution is to find surrogates of real women for betas and let the alphachads fuck and impregnate the real females just like it happens in pretty much any mammal species. once all the betas are satisfied with female surrogates, they won't be going around doing violent crime, rioting and starting wars.

We've had various experiments like that. Notable Soviet Union post WW-II. Such a large number of men had been killed that there was a great imbalance. Which led to some strange issues. Including lots of family without fathers.
