Men for example, are mostly below the physical potential average. Most men are either fat or they are skinny fat.

Statistical average, which most men think in and observe when referencing the dating market and the average man, is a guy who is below the mid point of the curve between very attractive man and very unattractive man.

The statistical average man is overweight, 5 foot 9-10ish, not ugly but has no sexually dimorphic features on his face and has a pretty standard life which isn’t particularly exciting. He might work in an office, plays videogames and watches sport, maybe exercises a little but not much, isn’t rich or charismatic.

Women’s brains register this man as unattractive. He’s bland, ten a penny and slightly fat - without anything to him that evokes arousal.

The mid point, the potential average, is somebody who shares similar traits except he is on the leaner side, but still his body remains unremarkable. He has no sexually dimorphic traits that evoke arousal, nothing particularly masculine or interesting. He offers nothing more than the next guy. Yeah, he’s clean and competent but nothing about him is at all hot. He is just man. Women don’t register this guy as unattractive though, just “nothing”.

To be arousing to a woman, you literally need to be above POTENTIAL average in some way and possess actively arousing traits, physically or in who you are. A man needs to be at least athletic for his body to be seen as attractive, or tall or noticeably masculine or handsome in the face.

Most men are “below” average which is statistically impossible but not potentially impossible, as most men fall below the biological potential which is what women’s biological brains are looking for.

Woman on the other hand, even when below statistical and potential average, posses sexually dimorphic and arousing traits by default simply by being a woman. Breasts, feminine faces, long hair, bums, high pitched voices, etc. Men are aroused by even women below potential average, let alone statistical.

Which is why there is such a big attraction gap. Most men in the eyes of women are literally “below average” and men are frustrated because statistically they can’t be - but that’s how it is
