Many men (and women) don't even think that women want casual sex. So asking how to get it seems pointless.

All they come up with is "I'm going to present myself as wanting a relationship and then once I have fucked her a few times, I'll see if I have other options available".

If the guy is very attractive he becomes a fuck boy player who breaks hearts left and right. And when women say they don't want casual sex, it's the frustrating experiences created by these guys that they are referring to.

If the guy is not that attractive, he just sits in the friend zone all the time. And then he is frustrated that women lied to him.

No, women didn't lie. They really don't want to be used by another fuck boy. But that doesn't mean that casual sex is off the table. You just need to be upfront and honest about your intentions.

Which is true - but obviously, arousing female emotional/sexual desire is more complicated than simply applying deodorant every 10 min and walking around like you’re in an orbitz commercial.

We learned how to “date” from our classmates (mostly all virgins) growing up, we learned from TV, we learned from movies, we learned from magazines, we learned from churches, etc. I, for example, lived with just my mom growing up in high school and every single movie we owned was a romantic comedy. As a shy, not very physically fit, virgin teen, this was my only window into what relationships were like at that time. How was I, at that age and experience level, to understand that romantic comedy’s are fantasy, that real life, and real men and women, are nothing like that? By the time I figured out how it actually worked, I was well into my mid-late 20s

The problem with posts like this is that there is always this assumption that our failings and frustrations have a sole-source. That there isn’t a systemic cascade of factors that influenced who we (men) are, and how we got where we are today.

Half the assumptions made in this sub could be boiled down to “yes, but it’s more complicated than that”

What is your problem. The anger stage for most boys is needed for emotional growth. It's a fundamental and natural reaction to the constant and oppressive rejection most boys face.

Listen, most women go through their whole lives and face virtually no rejection and they completely melt down when it happens. I work in sales and cannot tell you how many young girls have bounced from a high paying position because they can't face people telling them NO. At this point our sales force is 85% male, but we hire women 60% of the time. Look at every type of sales, it's almost always male dominated.

If you can skip the anger phase, that's great for you. However, don't expect everyone else to be able to do the same. Once these guys start getting successful the anger fades and confidence builds.

The aspects that make a man a successful player/"manwhore" (an oxymoron) are the same ones that help them get girlfriends. It is just they have enough positives to string the woman along so they can milk the cow for free as long as possible.

But I wasn't seeking casual sex, so I didn't ask those questions. I wanted an intimate relationship. Unfortunately, nobody ever told me how women truly worked as a kid/teenager, so I just defaulted to Like-Matches-Like bonding theory until I was proven completely wrong by the Manosphere.

There is this weird superposition where, simultaneously, the Red Pill is complete fabrication that is solely born out of bitter men's misogyny...but you should have know it anyways, why were you too stupid to not get it, man baby? The Red Pill is simultaneously wrong and right depending on that situation.

Women know what's up. They just don't want to men to complain about it.

No-one can give you any useful advice on this subject, other than don't take rejection personally and keep trying. If you're able to implement that one, and invest absolutely loads of energy and time in it, then you will definitely be successful, if by success one simply means having sex with some women.

Any other observations about dating are obvious anyway, and whether or not you're attractive to a particular woman is always determined by factors over which you have no control, and sheer luck. And I've never seen any convincing evidence that anything 'works' in any meaningful sense.

By far the most effective thing to do is to just keep plugging away endlessly. Seeking advice from your family, or anyone else at all, unless you're doing something spectacularly wrong, is completely pointless.

Of course they are not lying. But no woman will say what she really likes out of fear of being slut shamed. And you especially don't say it to a child or family member.

No, of course you would never ask the question "how do I get more sex?" to anyone in real life. There seems to be a general disdain/disgust in Western society towards people (mainly men) wanting sex. Society, your friends, your family - none of them want you to have sex. People are generally jealous of those having sex. If you do ask them, you will get laughed off, or told to "focus on more important things", or told "why do you need sex? you don't need sex!" or something similar. It's a taboo subject that unfortunately you can't ask people in real life about and expect to get genuine advice.

Asking for advice on getting a girlfriend is not good either. You will simply get told one of 2 things. Either 1) "why do you need a girlfriend? stop focusing on that and focus on more important things" or 2) "just live your life, enjoy yourself, don't go looking for it and someone will come into your life when you least expect it". The Red Pill offers a variation on this: "focus on your mission and women will enter your life".

Humans instinctively don't want to help others with their reproductive success. It goes against their nature to help others get sex and girlfriends. That's why you get told to focus on other things, or laughed at, or told to forget about it and wait for it to happen at some point. These are all methods designed to stop others from having more reproductive success than themselves.

I didn't start off asking questions, I started off listening.

My mother told me women didn't care about looks so much. Movies told me the good guy got the girl over the jock asshole. My female friends told me they liked this and that, and hated the other thing.

All this was highly misleading. My mother was thinking about the relationship she wanted. The movies were written by guys who were losers in high school and turned it around, or who wanted a feel-good story to sell. The female friends didn't quite understand what attracted them in the first place.

The problem here is, and it's echoed in the way you present things, that the mindset is so different that many women simply can't understand it. I don't know your gender, but you present this as 'I want love and a girlfriend' vs. 'I want to be a manwhore and crush puss.' The missing thing is the actual nature of the male mentality.

There are plenty of guys out there who are not searching for the purest of romantic love. Instead, their problem is that they see a gorgeous woman on the street, get absolutely captivated by her, and feel like they just have to find some way to make her theirs. "Oh, if you just want a hole to fuck, why don't you hire a prostitute?" Because that's not what they want! The power of that woman to them is not sated by fucking a prostitute, it's by having that woman look at them with eyes of approval and worth, and desiring to give herself to them. Maybe it's a bit more crude - They just have an overwhelming urge to have her close, kiss her all over, breathe her in, and that feels just about as powerful as any need they commonly feel.

So, they want to know how to get that. And...it seems kinda obvious to them when they ask how to get women, that this is what people are going for when they want to get with each other. What else could compare?

So, long story short, it's a misunderstanding based on different imperatives and mental states.

Men probably ask at one point "What attracts women ?" , "How do I seduce her ?" and that's at this moment that the answer they get can be terrible.

I think you are right in one thing, the first dating interaction men have during between 10-15yo are "oneitis", they have crush on a girl and want a girlfriend.

But one you reach 16-20yo, and men ask how to get a girl, why they haven't got laid yet, why women don't seem to want them. That's the moment they make the shift between having consecutive crush and wanting the attention/affection of women.

Men who complain about women or blue pill lying to them, they probably asked around their 15-20yo too, or at least after the shift and while they were clueless.
