I read a article in the news about virgins in their 30's and sexual inactivity among young adults the other day. It brought up some depressing statistics from different countries in the world like Japan and UK. And in no doubt it's mostly men lacking out. An argument that I often see in discussion when it comes to RP and top tier men taking all the women is that it doesn't matter in the end because when you get older and people want to settle down it equals out. Men and women pairing up and partnership gets more evenly shared among peers after 30. And there's always this "my husband was a 35 year old virgin when we met"-post to back it up.

It seems so simplified. Don't people want to meet someone with similar experiences and references in life? Isn't things like mental health, arrested development and porn addiction issues after a lifetime of loneliness? How can you be ready to settle down if you never experienced anything else beforehand? And, for the opposite, don't it feel alien being with someone who wouldn't understand things you been through like bad relationships and heartbreak? Whom have learnt nothing of what he wants or not wants in a partner.

Isn't it bit too good to be true that everything just smoothly works out after all and everyone lives happily ever after? Totally unproblematic. Can you just ignore the past completely or are we missing something in that line of thoughts?
