I started off blue and probably am purple-bluish now.

The reason being is that TRP seems to take the stance that our evolutionary history when it comes to sex overrides our ability and will to chose for onself a different path.

We overcome our natural tendencies all the time when we chose not to have an outburst of anger and start flipping shit over. We chose to overcome our natural clan-like behavior when we associate and befriend persons of other races, sexual orientations, and religions. When we resort to civil discussion rather than violence to solve a problem.

But TRP takes the stance that people, especially women, are locked into one pattern of hypergamy with no will to chose differently.

Anytime you paint an over simplistic picture you are not accurately portraying the subject.

At the same time, it helps to understand our natures from an evolutionary viewpoint and the various ways societies sought to deal with these natures. But to lock in on one part as being inflexible and unchangeable lacks a middle ground.

Purple is the middle ground and blue represents the extreme counter to the extreme red.

I came here purple, already knowing women could be pretty shitty. My mom is emotionally unstable actually-diagnosed BPD and was verbally, physically, and emotionally abusive to my whole family, especially me and my well-meaning high Beta dad. So I get women can be trash and I actually thought most men were decent, reasonable folks.

I've been here what....6y now? Maybe 7? And let me tell you, I don't hate men-but I hate the majority of men who are here. Most of them cannot see how their actions effect their unhappiness, and the idea that they could get invested in the interests of their partners above themselves even once in a while is a high crime. And most of them flat out refuse to acknowledge that for a good chunk of very recent Western history, women were not permitted the autonomy to escape shitty situations the way men were afforded (and still are comparitively, even with divorce rape). A lot would like to return to it. It's not perfect. Some things admittedly suck for some guys. But to suggest that sometimes things suck for a woman, too, is laughable.

Life is shitty for men but it can be shitty for women too, even sometimes through no fault of their own. I've got a STEM degree. I joined the Army. I'm shockingly also not a bitch and have been known to be too sweet and patient when I shouldn't be. I've made plenty of mistakes and I've given too much, and I've paid for them, and I'll acknowledge them, and for a lot here that's still not enough. I will not take the blame for the rest of the women of the world and I will try my hardest not to blame All Men for the actions of a shitty few. I'm more of A Man and I've got more honor than a lot of the guys here, and I did it with tits.

There's a lot of good guys out there, don't get me wrong, but mostly? They're not here. Most of the men here refuse to name one positive quality about women. Most men here believe they're innocent and all the evils of the world are things that happened to them due to evil feminism and machinations of the Female Collective rather than women desiring a shot at autonomy and self-realization. The men here haven't made me respect men, the men I've met in the real world have done that. The men here have plummeted my respect for most of them by being a ridiculous collection of mostly whiny children who cannot imagine for the breifest of moments what it's like to simply not be them. The idea that a woman might make the best choice for her not because she wants to hurt a man or men but because it's in her own self interest is unfathomable.

I've swung more Red, if you see red as the ideology that men and women can both suck in their own respective ways. AMALT means men are at their base level given to being aggressive, selfish, and sexually opportunistic. At least with respect to the men here. I still call myself purple cause I think humans have a lot of similar qualities at their core, but both genders have their manifestations of them.

My dad GETS that my mom is an exception to how most women are. I didn't realize until I got here though how much he was an exception too for seeing it. I get excited when I see a guy here post something about his wife or GF or women that's genuinely sweet and unselfish and unqualified with a really terrible "but..." because it's so rare.

If the Red Pill is actually the truth about men and women, men are a lot more self serving and awful than I imagined. They imagine All Men (or at least all betas) as always making the understandable, right choice. If he makes a mistake or even several, they're forgivable. Women don't get the same treatment, because of course AWALT and AWALT is selfish and shallow and myopic. If she wants out, it's because of those traits, or because she chose foolishly. If she makes a mistake, she should be vilified for life because there's no way she will ever learn from it, really. Women are never really trapped by life or by men, of course, because they're women. Even historically when they literally had no access to their own money to facilitate it.

The Red Pill, and most of its adherents here, are perfectly happy with the idea that they are truly the unfairly suffering species and any woman with a complaint against a man is victim to anything but a man (unless he's those bad alpha types of course, because they're the only really bad guys, and they're still better than women), and more ideally, a victim of only herself.

Woe to you females who cannot recognize the suffering of poor beta men as the climax of all downtrodden humanity who are also the honorable architects of everything worth having in civilization. The truth of the Red Pill is that they want to claim the honor and selflessness of other men while behaving almost totally against it.

Yes! I'm much more aware that men in the same way woman are afraid of strange men and warry, are that way around children. Lots of innocent men are afraid to help a lost child because men around children who aren't their own are treated like predators! I used to think it was just fear mongering like the whole harassment thing, but people witch hunt pedophilles without damn near any proof besides "man in area around child" even HIS OWN children.

I also agree more with red's idea that men still select for traditionally feminine woman (despite wanting her to also fill half of a masculine roll) and that woman enjoy more stoic and confident men. I am a lot more sure of those things now then i was when i first came along.

I'm still purplieish blue though. Woman aren't children, men are not more loyal.

I used to call myself blue, until I realized that my tradcon lifestyle/values don't exactly fit that pill. I was just kind of there because I hated RP. I guess you can say I used to put men (particularly tradcon men) on a pedestal but reading RP kind of killed that and sent me into my own anger phase of sorts.

After I became desensitized to the Red stuff through PPD I started looking at my stances more objectively. I decided that I might be purple because they seemed cool for the most part, and flaired myself here as that for a while. And then I reexamined my views yet again and started calling myself "tradpill", and kind of abandoned the traditional alignment system since I felt that it was misleading to pretend that my views neatly fit anywhere on the spectrum outside of "neurotic tradcon." For this account I just kind of yeeted the flair altogether and say whatever I want and believe whatever I see fit.

TLDR edit: Increased self-awareness, learned not to arbitrarily feel like I have to be part of a tribe of some sort. Reading/watching certain nopillers here definitely helped that along (RIP hisohiso, she was one of my faves).

There's not really much of mind to change - most people here an't lying about their experiences, so even if I don't agree with their conclusions, I still benefit from reading about how other people are experiencing the world.

People end up at TRP usually because they're still struggling to learn the basics of how to socialize. Socializing is something that I learned very early, so I can be kind of forgetful that not everyone has the same experience as me. Reading the accounts on PPD helps keep me more "well-rounded" in my understanding of just how different people can be from one person to the next. It makes it easier for me to get along with different types of people.

So I haven't really "changed my mind" because my reality is still consistent with my experiences. But I've benefited greatly all the same from hearing people with different opinions from me. I feel like this is sort of what "exercising frame" is all about.

But yes. When i was a teen still living with my parents i believed the bullshit my mom, dad, older brother, and twin sister said (Once women have 50% of the good jobs theyll ask out and marry the men with the bad jobs because its just a social construct! type crap).

I was a total blue pill chump! I believed that if I was a good faithful hardworking husband who did what I was supposed to do everything would work out. Of course it didn't and I got kicked to the curb.

My son jokingly told me about TRP. I took a look thinking it might be an amusing way to kill a little time. I never expected to actually agree with them. Surprised the hell out of me when I realized that TRP described my ex-wife's behavior to a T.

I was previously unaware of how non-religious people thought about relationships and dating. It really did seem like my church friends represented the majority opinion and practice, but now I see how minor that experience is compared to a vast secular world. I honestly had no idea so many people were against marriage.

I grew up blue pilled believing its all personality and charisma. In my mid 20s I went lookism and believed its only ever about looks in sexual attraction and strongly believed in looks-matching (still do to a lesser extent). I felt red pilled at around age 30 as it helped explain how men who aren't beautiful get women. Recently flirting with the purple pill but only because the red pill and mgtows seem so dogmatic and right wing.

I'm not super cynical as I was maybe five years ago, still pretty red, but I understand that in order maintain an ideal relationship (one that includes children and/or marriage) you need to be at least purple for it remain sustainable (at least by Western standards).

I have learned dating and relationships do become easier with time and experience. Each gender has their issues, and you play your cards as best you can. Hell some discussions on this sub have even educated me better on human social dynamics (not to say RP hasn't).

What's changed my mind the most here was a comment by Leane about how to rationally evaluate whether to leave your kids at a male teacher's or a female stripper's house. Her analysis still amazes me to this day. (She'd leave them with the male teacher because as a tracher he has more of a life to destroy if he fucks up)

I have yet to see arguments asserting the BP philosophy that are supported with a sound logical construction down to axiom.

Nor have I seen anything here that would override my accumulated life experience that structuring one’s interactions with women based on the BP model leads to significantly less predictability of outcome and substantially poorer interactions than structuring one’s interactions with women based on the RP model.

I though class was 'almost entirely' tied to wealth (in the mathematical sense).

This was on a topic/reply of something like, men would rather have a poor girl who acts middle class, than a rich girl who acts like a 'pleb' (I can't think of a polite term).

A reply by someone pointed out that there is much more to class than just money. Mannerisms play a large role. That actually fits much better into my view of the world and explains more things.

e.g. It explains 'why' and 'how' Trump is hated so much by the underemployed and poor college graduates. Even though he has a stupid amount of money. He spends it on putting his name everywhere, having gold coloured furniture and appearing on the WWE. These are definitely not how an aristocrat should behave. This is how a redneck who has a billion dollars would behave. Their hate is a weird hate, it is not feat it is more like a 'disgust' reaction from someone who they can't stand, like a prince turning up his nose at his servants from touching their wine glass.

Yeah many, I did not have that many proofs that people are as egocentric as I supposed. I thought I was being overly suspicious, paranoic or overzealous, as I know I am in the pessimist side. But every research put up in this sub just made me feel more right, and worried. Seriously people, You cannot stay here and believe in humanity. Stop publishing so many sad researches already.

Have you changed what color pill you identify as, if you do use that classification, or has the shade of color brightened or darkened?

I continue to prefer being called "no pill, leaning red" as I believe that TRP get a lot of things wrong and jump too easily to conclusions. It needs a great deal of scientific scrutiny to become worth it. But I did become a bit darker pillwise, but it still didn't make me accept being called red pill.

You see, not long ago I had faith I could get a good woman to marry and it would be worth it... now... not so much. Every research here is making me calculate the chances, and each new variable have been only reducing it. I am more of an optimist than I thought I was.

I was probably red when I first came here, now maybe a light red or dark purple, I’m still cynical but I’m not as pro-red as I was. I don’t disagree with some of the rp strategies but some of the rhetoric I stopped circle-jerking.

Could you make some examples please? I find it interesting what exactly you find to have bad rhetoric.

I think the stuff that had the most impact on me was the blackpill, hyper cynical, hyper bitter stuff that embraces the gender wars as inevitable and relationships as inherently transitory.

My idealism and faith in relationships/humanity was always shaky, and always felt kind of fake, like something I had to put a lot of effort to maintain and convince myself of. Pessimism seems to be my default state. The longer I spend online talking to people, particularly incels, and older anti-marriage folk, the more this new mindset becomes solidified for me.
