It's actually pretty messed up — I figured this out on my own. Generally, when you hear women sharing negative experiences about men's behavior, or talking about why they dislike men, in most cases the guy involved was someone they found very attractive. But now those experiences are being generalized and pinned on all men. The reality is that highly attractive men are statistically more likely to engage in manipulative, abusive, or even violent behavior, and may also hold more misogynistic views. Since many women primarily engage with these highly attractive men and tend to overlook men they find less attractive, they end up forming a distorted view that all men are like this.
