Everytime I've mentioned to a woman that I'm into coding they've been super interested, they a lot of times think that it's a cool lifestyle that can earn good money. You can log onto your computer and work for 8 hours, make some bands, and then log off, and continue with the rest of your life as normal people do. How would any other menial job be better or more interesting to women? Oh you cook, and chop vegetables all day, tell me more... Oh you work at a warehouse and move boxes all day, wow that's so intriguing. And people working these boring low paying jobs are always the ones to criticize programmers or other computer workers as "boring" to women.

I'm in the process of becoming a programmer, but I put in my Tinder bio as an experiment that I am a web developer, and I got a few women the same day messaging me first and basically asking me to hookup with them, instantly. None of them are after the money, and had their own finances figured out, and were 18-22. They just see it as success, and your job is only as boring as you are, which means that your other hobbies and interests/lifestyle can determin how interesting you are. Along with your attractiveness and demeanor/game.

I'll admit, there are guys who are completely nerdy, and aspie when it comes to coding, who have no life other than being on a computer, but a large chunk of coders aren't this way and have good people skills with full lives, where they have enough money to pay their bills and go out and have fun with other people. I've gone out to bars and chatted with women who's number I got, many in the same night, who were down to meet up, and we were actively flirting pretty hard. I also got my last girlfriend after telling her I was going to be a programmer in the near future, and we made out and did oral that night, then fucked the next non stop.

All in all, it just seems like a lot of jealousy from those who don't have the aptitude for it, or have convinced themselves that the only attractive thing to women are social and/or masculine jobs.
