Edit: Clarifying that this is not about "all women and men". Specifically the ones who ask these questions. If they don't ask the question, then NOTHING here applies.

Why would I assume something so nihilistic and misogynistic based off of a stupid little question? That even some women will also admit is silly?

Well first, because I'm an autistic over-thinker. But beside that there are 4 reasons.

  1. Is that if we were worms, you would leave. No debate. Doesn't matter the man or woman. There is no boyfriend or husband alive on this planet earth who you could convince that you would stay with him if he were a worm. Not 1 man alive.

  2. Not only would we expect you to leave. We understand it. We accepted it (long before even meeting YOU). And would even probably encourage it.

"I just want her to be happy."

By asking the question, you are kind of admitting that you would never do #2 for us. You want us to stay. You're admitting that you wouldn't want to sacrifice yourself for our happiness. As we would do for you in a heartbeat. You don't, "just want us to be happy."

  1. How many lesser things could happen to your man, that would make you leave? Dick and hands cut off? Suddenly 3 feet shorter(than you)? Never makes you laugh again? Never talks again?

Or how about if he never again made a single solitary penny for the rest of his entire life? Even if he begs in the streets, coins vanish when they hit his hand. That would be terrible for you. And we would again encourage you to leave us. Even when we're the same guy.

Your worm self is not making a dime either. A worm is literally a 10× worse scenario than that guaranteed deal breaker.

  1. Often the women/men who are the most insecure and worried about you cheating, are the ones who are more likely to cheat. The insecurity they feel is spawned from how high of a possibility it is for them to do.

I think that's what's happening here. The women who are most likely and prepared to leave their man because he stops checking some of the boxes....are precisely the ones who are really worried and insecure about him leaving "If they were a worm, a beetle, fat, old, etc..."

I thought I'd share this because most women know that most men think the question is "stupid". However I have never seen a man explain why we think that.

Nothing beyond "haha, silly girls with their silly questions."

I think a lot of men reading this, probably didn't think about it too much, but are probably going to realize these things are why it collectively gave us all the ick.
