The variation among men is interesting though. I've been involved in BDSM since I was 17 and a lot of the girls I was with were happy I was willing to dominate them cuz they said most of their ex's were too scared to spank them and shit.

Maybe this is because the guy actually wanted to be sub but didn't admit it. There are a lot of male subs but very few female dommes hence big market for a dominatrix. Honestly no idea why, but it is interesting. It tends to come out at about 50/50 for guys.

This data isn't exactly scientific btw it comes from some girl's social media followers, but still the female preference for submission is clearly represented in the BDSM scene and it's obvious to anyone who has ever been to a play party.

P.S. Also notice how "rapeplay" is strong female interest... again absolutely zero shock there.

Oh, actually a topic I am somewhat experienced in.

In the kink scene submissives make up a slight majority of the population. There are more submissive women than dominant women, and there are more submissive men than dominant men. After all, who doesnt enjoy just letting go and not having to think or worry for a little bit.

A lot of this has to do with ingrained societal expectations for men sexually. Namely that men are less shamed for having lots of sex, they are shamed for straying beyond vanilla sex where the man takes the more active and assertive role. This leads to a lot of internal repression for a lot of men, where their sexual desires get denied and begin to fester and expand in unhealthy ways. And when they finally get an outlet it explodes and can intimidate a lot of people.

Make no mistake, mens sexuality is repressed. It's just not how the manosphere or incels likes to present it.

Male dominant, or "do-er" rather "done-to" just seems to be the default, whether vanilla or BDSM. I would guess it's because men have such a higher sex drive and because they're the ones that need to do the active penetrating for reproductive success. And because of the higher sex drive, they are more likely to have a wider variety of sexual interests just by virtue of having more time spent with sex on their brain.

I think male subs have a lot more to overcome and so present less often, possible likewise with female dominants, because they're going against the grain, statistically and culturally speaking. I mean, if you're in a place where BDSM is a big scene, or you're not raised with any hang-ups, that's probably not much of a problem anymore so I wonder if stats will change significantly in the future.

I think there's substantial biological evidence that men in general have wider bell curves than women (i.e. more at the extremes, less clustered around the middle). Applying this to sexuality we should see a wider variation of sexual behaviors/preferences in the human male than in the human female.

Seems like there are more submissive men than dominant ones, or maybe it's just the guys I hang out with. You can usually tell which ones are submissive, too. The richer a man is, the more likely he is to be submissive. The shorter a man is, the more likely he is to be dominant.
