Why are you RPW?

28, nurse's aide. I'm RPW because I wanted a life where I didn't have to control and run everything. I was so tired of doing it all and it seemed that my husband was not good enough or capable of doing it.

RPW promised me if I changed myself, he would change too. And he did! RPW is for everyone and I hate seeing posts that claim they can't be RPW. It is a sexual strategy, so everyone can use it, even if you wear jeans, even if you're a lawyer, even if you make more money than your husband, even if you don't want kids.

It's always been a thing in the more traditional members of my family. I've always been a girly girl, from a young age I wanted nothing more than to be a beautiful lady and mother, so becoming feminine to me was natural. The psychological femininity RPW teaches is partially familiar to me already due to my background. Practicing RPW actually makes me feel like my true self, a self I had neglected because of all the years of growing up surrounded by feminism. I am in my early 20s and am a teacher!

Society has brainwashed me to believe femininity is a weakness. I grew up dirt poor, fatherless, and my single mother was not the best of role models. I embraced being masculine out of a sense of survival and joined the military when I was 17.

My relationships did not work and I subscribed to hook up culture because, again, I never had any guidance from a father figure.

At 29 I found this sub and incorporated what I learned in my LTR I met when I was 30. Three years later, I am engaged.

We both have our flaws, but the sum of our parts is more than us being separate.

I am quite young but ever since I can remember I have wanted to be a housewife. It's not a goal I really talk to people about because when I do the disappointment becomes palpable in the atmosphere. RPW doesn't judge me and I get to feel secure in the knowledge that I am on the right path.

I'm 28, teaching artist (sounds strange but the only way I can describe it without giving away my job specifics). I grew up RPW and with traditional values, but spending my childhood in a liberal town in the US skewed my perspective. I keep up with RPW because it's the only way I can remember how to really act like a feminine woman, because there's nothing around me that's inspiring me.

I also had difficulty having LTRs when I was younger because I didn't know what I was supposed to be...I went from being too shy, too outgoing, too boring, too interesting, too plain, too intelligent, too high maintenance...I just didn't understand relationships. Now I do. And it helps to not be around BP men.

I'm RPW, because I have traditional relationship goals and values, rooted in my faith, but also just my preferences. I was divorced at 23 and realized I didn't much like my life or who I was. I started wearing dresses and makeup, dieted and exercised, lost 90 pounds and finished my first year of grad school.

As big as my educational and career aspirations were, if I'd had to choose between them and a husband and kids, I'd have chosen the latter. Even in my conservative state, no one understood how I could be so ambitious and still, that was my greatest goal. I made every other decision in my life deliberately, but doing so with something so important to me was crazy?

I found the Red Pill around the time I began my journey. Too many things didn't mesh with my vision, though I liked some of it and continued to follow blogs. I found RPW when I met my fiancé, because I wanted a conservative and traditional outlet to discuss my relationship. My friends are all in Blue Pill relationships. It makes them happy and that makes me happy for them, but it still made me feel somewhat isolated with my view of what an eventual marriage should look like. In time, I realized that most of the women here don't follow the Red Pill as strictly as I thought they must and found there was a lot I could take from it, even if it wasn't everything.

31, Medical Field (not saying anymore due to privacy). I am RPW due to failed relationships. I believe the reason it's so hard for men and women to get along is a failure to understand each other's nature. I grew up in a very feminist environment and was brainwashed to believe that men and women are equal (women can do anything men can do and vice versa). I thought a relationship meant shared gender roles, equality, spending a lot of time together, and being "best friends". I think it took me so long to figure out that this is the wrong way because I never even wanted children until recently... I didn't like my family growing up so I didn't want one of my own. I did enjoy the company of a boyfriend though, whenever I had one, but I realize I was choosing partners based on shared interests and looking back on it they were too feminine. It took many years of being away from the environment I was raised in to finally relax and get in touch with my true nature and femininity. And I'm so very glad I did! :)

I believe the best type of marriage is one with split gender roles: the woman stays out of her man's business and he stays out of hers. It's so that they can focus. Both people should be very busy. He should be busy working and making money. She should be busy with her children. Women these days simply do not spend enough time with their kids.

Being "best friends" is not enough. There needs to be a balance. One needs to be masculine and one needs to be feminine. One needs to be in charge of the other, while the other is submissive. There needs to be a hierarchy: The man should be in charge of the woman and the woman should be in charge of the kids.

I'm 28 and an engineer. I like RPW because it has helped me understand the differences between men and women, but I don't believe I'll ever be able to have a traditional RP lifestyle. I simply cannot submit to anyone; my personality won't allow it. And while I've been surprised to see that I have some feminine traits already (i.e. being gentle and tender with people in real life - I do believe you catch more flies with honey more often than not), I find that no matter how hard I try, I can't build my life around others the way I see some folks on RPW. I appreciate femininity for the spiritual experiences it provides -- like, having trust and faith, letting things go, being open to what life has to offer -- but not being feminine for the benefit of a man.

Having a better understanding of male/female natures has helped me plan my life so that I don't have unrealistic expectations of others. But I find that despite knowing all of this, I'm still the career-obsessed and independence-obsessed feminist I was before -- only now I'm less frustrated. I'm also happy to see there's some acceptance of different lifestyles here because I initially didn't think there was.

I'm RPW because it just makes sense for who I am and what I want out of life. I want something than what my mother had, and millions of other women. It just makes sense to me!

I also enjoy the feeling I get rebelling against the current norm and embracing more traditional values :)

edit- I am in my late 20s and in a masters program for social work.

Hi! I am here from RPWi. I am a RPW because even though my husband and I love each other very much, something wasn't working right. I started applying the theory to myself and in three days my marriage felt like it was new. I'm 26, a SAHM, and a former high school teacher.

23, social services work (yeah yeah I know, social worker but you're not a flaming feminist liberal? And yes my field is dominated by people who do not agree with me on many things at all, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and them just the same. Also you can be a traditionalist and still compassionate) okay rant over sorry ;) I'm RPW because it's always made natural intuitive sense to me, just needed some honing on the specifics. I was raised by religious and fairly conservative parents, still had a bit of blue pill influence but I've always been purple pill at least. I'm very feminine by nature and have always been drawn to extremely masculine men, feminism always grated on me but I couldn't really put my views into words. I loved taking the red pill because it explained concretely so many things I understood intuitively, and also called into question some of the blue pill knowledge I'd subscribed to, (men want a boss ass bitch and look down on you if you have a low n count etc.)

I am a RPW because I used to be a brainwashed feminist and let it lead me to make bad decisions that hurt me. Only through having a traditional relationship dynamic with my SO (which he was gracious enough to try despite my tough cookie false bravado and coarse manners) did I realize how satisfying and natural it felt to be feminine rather than trying to get approval and male attention as "one of the guys." I also had a conservative upbringing with parents who are still married.

I discovered RPW via TRP, which I discovered along with other RP authors when I started to see feminism take a turn for the insane several years ago and I really began to question its viability.

I am 25 and work in a restaurant, going to grad school in the health field in the fall.

19, in an LTR for 2 years now. It's my first LTR, and I actually discovered this subreddit before my relationship. However, even though I knew about it, I wasnt incorporating its ideals into my life. I kept hitting hurdles and kept fighting my way over them, but what was causing them in the first place was me. I slowly just started letting go of the ropes a little and letting him take hold. I started growing my hair out and doing more at home. These last few weeks- since finally incorporating TRP- have been some of our best. I came back to the subreddit and am now actively doing my best to improve myself in a way that not only benefits myself, but our relationship as well.

Because I have seen first hand that non traditional relationships backfire. It doesn't work long term. Happiness isn't doing and being it all. It is relishing in the role you are genetically defined to do.

My high school relationship ended just before my third year of college because I realized I didn't want to live "happily ever after" with someone who did everything I said but couldn't make a decision for himself. I began chasing after the kind of guys who never listen to anyone which also did not work for me. Then I found TRP and RPW: I realized a beta personality would never make me happy, but that my aggressive personality was not tolerated by the alpha guys I liked so much.

I realized that I needed to change my strategy. I had a general idea of my ideal guy but the key was becoming the kind of woman that my ideal guy would want to settle down with. I wanted a strong but gentle leader, so I needed to become a kind woman who was willing to follow.

My part time job as a pediatric CNA has helped me become a much softer person with a much bigger heart. Now I'm almost through nursing school and I'm in a relationship with a wonderful man. He appreciates the good things I do (cooking, thoughtful gestures, being supportive on bad days) but is never afraid to tell me what I can improve (calling me messy wouldn't suffice). I could not be happier with how my life is going!

(For those of you that read my previous posts, he's coming back to town tomorrow after an unanticipated extension in his time away. After taking care of his house/pet this month, he's asked me to stay here with him. Luckily, I had someone subleasing my apartment during this month who wants to stay for the rest of my lease! Thank you all for the advice on my posts and for keeping this sub a place for self improvement!)

Oh I know right! There also the ones who constantly complain about there relationship. It's the the point where I'm truly surprised when they say something even semi nice about their SO
