I heard this on a podcast and it resonated with me deeply. Perhaps it was relevant to what I went through recently with a girl but the concept is once a woman gets used to a lifestyle with a certain type of man, she will never settle for less even after they break up.

An example of this could be a girl (28F) breaks up with a dude that’s in his mid-30s who has his career in order, his own place, and living in a nice location. Once she breaks up, she will begin to assess the market and naturally will want to find all these things in her next man, which means it will be difficult to settle for anything less.

This phenomenon can be attributed to a combination of familiarity, comfort, and perhaps even a sense of entitlement that comes from experiencing a certain standard of living. Once a woman has become accustomed to a certain level of stability and security in a relationship, it can be challenging for her to accept anything less. This isn't to say that she won't ever find happiness with someone who doesn't meet all of those criteria, but rather that she may struggle to lower her expectations or adjust her standards after experiencing a higher quality of life with a previous partner. As a result, it’s important to figure these things out early, so you can asses how much energy to give.
