I wanted to share with you guys a message that I send to women on tinder, that so far has not failed me. A few weeks ago I was struggling with not getting many matches. I had a strategy of only using one or two photos, and not having any text. This was to see if I would get a better response rate due to the women having less to judge me on. The problem is it wasn't polarizing. So what I realized is that my looks aren't what are going to get me the matches (I would say I'm good looking, but not the best looking guy in the world).

So I decided to actually write a bio. I have experimented with funny bios and gotten decent but not great results. As a marketing graduate, I took an approach to writing my bio as though I was writing ad copy, which is what it truly boils down to anyway. You're advertising yourself to women.

The first line of my bio is, "I hope you don't like me." This catches women's attention and lets them know that I am different from every guy on there that wants to be liked desperately. After this sentence, I don't describe myself in resume format, saying my accomplishments, tastes, and hobbies.

Instead, I describe my personality, which is unique to me. Anyone can be a marketing major or musician, but nobody can be me. Play to your strengths, and that is your personality. If you are not confident that you can have a polarizing, deep personality that separates you from every single guy out there, then that's what you need to work on.

Once you have all of this in place, you can feel confident that you will get more replies no matter what messages you send. Now, for my line that gets me replies every time. I simply send them a one word message: their name, followed by an exclamation point. This is a strong message for a few reasons.

First, it shows that you are excited to talk to them. Second, it allows you to keep a high energy momentum in your conversation, rather than having the boring, "So what do you like to do?" bullshit conversation. Absolutely don't do that. Third, it is incredibly easy to respond to. People on tinder are lazy, unless they already like you. Even if they find you attractive, they might not reply to your message if they have to expend any creativity or time to craft a response. This message gives them an in that takes no effort. Every time except once I would get the reply "edbenz!" The only other time it was something like, "Hey edbenz! How are you doing?"

Now, I have only sent this message about 8 times, but it has been way more successful than even the most thoughtful messages I've sent. Save your thoughtfulness for when you meet her or after you know her personality more. For the hook, you need to be the guy that is different from the others. The way you do that is by being very excited to be talking to her, and to be playful (being playful counteracts any kind of clingyness she might detect from you being excited to be chatting her up).

I hope this helps you guys, would love to hear some feedback.
