Looking for signals before approach is pointless. She could be looking at you, the guy behind you, or whatever else. Not to mention your approach determines everything anyways. Some women have an rbf, I’ve laid some pretty hot women with rbf who look like they hate everything and some have done botox so they can express even if their life depended on it.

Approach and then see if they let you move forward and escalate. Those are the only real signals you should be paying attention to everything else is noise.

Maybe you missed the signals? You mentioned she was hot, I wouldn't be surprised that she doesn't have to signal guys (or atleast obvious ones) coz she must be getting hit on multiple times. Also I think it's easier for a third party to see the signals more easily than the people the signals are intended for.
