I always remember my husband's family members birthdays and they always remember his birthdays but he never remembers any of their birthdays and I don't remind him because I could have sworn I married a grown ass man and not a little boy.

I once brought a man home to my family for Thanksgiving. Do you know what he did? Tried to tell a "joke" about genocide at the dinner table.

A lot of this is all "wife/mom admin" and unpaid labor that women often do for men, especially in marriages. Men think it's quirky or funny to be so helpless and so many women, too, joke about it, like, "Isn't he so funny, haha, he's like my unofficial child!" (Which is totally enabling, of course.)

A few years down the line, though, and the wife realizes she's not attracted to her husband anymore because she's essentially a mommy to her husband (and most women do not want to have sex with children) and then the husband gets mad because he's not getting the kibbles he feels entitled to. Because he's entitled to sex on demand, goddammit! And yet he has no idea why his wife has no sexual attraction to him anymore.

Women need to stop enabling this by accepting it or writing it off as "that's just how men are." And men need to realize it's behavior like this that dampens any spark of attraction that might have existed. They act like babies and children and then demand to be desired and respected. Sorry, bro...conduct yourself like a grown man, contribute to the home you both live in, help steward the family you started and maybe your wife might actually like you enough again to want your penis inside her!

This is really enlightening. I never realized how much they really depend on us to literally function in society. That’s why we cannot give a flagrantly unwashed man with tattered clothes and bad skin a chance. They’re not having a bad day, they’re not depressed, they’re not just quirky and nerdy, they really just want us to do the heavy duty work of making them presentable.
