The bar is so damn low that I don’t know if they’ll ever find it again to bring it back up. At this stage we need an entire mining crew to start searching for it. Not even a crew, like an entire organisation dedicated to it.

The food counter reminded me of an ex. Every time I was at his house and he cooked for me, I realized he served me smaller portions than him. If there was alcohol involved, my drink was smaller than his.

I thought I was imagining things at first but then I finally brought it up. He said that men need more calories than women, and that men's livers can handle more alcohol. Then said, "It's not fair, but that's the way it is."

Like ok, I accept that all that's probably true, but there's a correct way to get around that. You serve everyone the same portions, then men with their fat livers and bellies can get seconds if they want. And he knew that, he wasn't stupid. He just could never resist trying to put me in my place.

Idk why I especially liked the guy saying he said he has standards. Maybe that’s ripped from women and he doesn’t mean it. But I would LOVE it if men didn’t throw the dice with every woman and actually were actually honest about what they want. I think it’s obvious most men shoot their shot with every woman. It’d be great if they were transparent.

Also the dude who talked about getting laid by not being all over a girl in his dorm… common dude. It seemed like he was telling men HOW to get laid, not how to respect women.

I loved the girl giggling about her bf putting his dishes under his bed. She’s so beautiful and I hope she expects way more!

My story; in elementary school i noticed guys were generally loved and respected and treated well, unlike me. I created a male user on online social platforms and games. Suddenly i was complimented on my intelligence, humor, skills, and people befriended me like crazy alongside with girls falling head over heels in love with me by large numbers, sometimes resulting in hurt friendships between them.

The exact same personality on my female user? Pretty much the same as irl; noone liked me. I was disgusting (my humor), i was weird (my skills) and i was either a nerd or a dumbass (my intellect or choice of focus). I continued being male online.

I realized the bar was super low when I had my son via emergency c section, and everyone fawned over the fact that my husband held the baby and changed the baby's diaper.

And then like a week or so later he claimed I was ruining his "vacation" by begging him to help with cleaning.

It was PATERNITY LEAVE. His 3 week "Vacation" would have never happened if I didn't fall pregnant.

And then I was harassed by my MIL for not breastfeeding when I LITERALLY produced next to nothing. Like pumping ass often as I could for 3 days and only being able to get 2 ounces.... that was HALF of a feeding period for him. And breastfeeding is so painful and time consuming that it literally isn't worth it unless you can produce at least half of what they eat every day.

When I was 20, I dated an unemployed guy who lived at his parents house and had pee bottles under his bed.

Not like one or two. I found 8 x 2litre bottles filled with urine. He said it was too difficult to go to the bathroom downstairs at night time.

My moment was when I was waitressing at this diner run by a wife and husband when I was 16. I worked with two guys and they got away with the most insane crap. One Saturday morning I came in 15 minutes early because I knew it would be busy and I wanted to be prepared. Well, it got busy, and those boys didn’t show up until about 3.5 hours into the shift and I had to work the whole floor alone that entire time. When they came in, it was clear that they had been partying hard - you could smell them clear across the restaurant. When they got there, the female manager sat them down and had her husband cook them both up a huge breakfast, on the house. They got to leisurely eat and then smoke before finally starting to serve. When my lunch break came around, I had to pay for my meal.

I realized the bar was low for men when I talked to a male counselor about my sexual trauma and I cried because the last time I talked about getting sexually abused as a child and included the graphic details, the person I was talking to was jerking off to it. It was so weird to me that I talking to a man about this without him getting aroused by it or asking if I had found it hot or still fantasized about my own trauma. It felt so strange and almost scary to be respected.

I realized the bar was low for men when after my ex impregnated me, he shared he had an STD. When I brought it up at the OBGYN citing concerns over the transmission of the STD to my unborn child, the nurse downplayed my ex’s (irresponsible) sexual history by commenting: “Aww, don’t give him a hard time, he just knows how to have a little fun!”.

What's sadder other than the bar being insanely low, is that all the women apart from the main person seemed like they were in near tears because of how deep it cuts to realise how little shits they gave about you and how little you respected yourself enough to run the other way as soon as you realised. I wonder if they reached the second stage of realising those men have probably never given a shit about a single thing in their whole life and that's just their mere existence. rip.
