On one hand, it's a good thing that we understand more.
On the other, making a profit out of it is... Yeah.

The folks funding transgender advocacy are the same Pharma companies that make MILLIONS of each one.
Puberty blockers are actually cancer drugs... and they have horrific side effects. They lowered the price specifically so they could go after this new market of gender confused kids... and make millions off them. Actually some of the same companies profiting off the trans kid craze are the same companies that profited from creating opioid addicts!!!

thank god for someone talking sense in all this mess. I support LGBTQ rights but this whole take a bunch of hardcore drugs is out of control. My good friend committed suicide after taking synthetic testosterone. the healthcare practitioner that they trusted gave them drugs that caused severe emotional side effects KNOWING they had a history of mental illness.

Me too. The horrible thing about all this is that we know from the EU data that somewhere over 80% of the little boys who are being pushed to cut their dicks off and become women are just gay. The surgeries often lead them to becoming sexually dysfunctional and unable to experience orgasms. They don't tell you that shit at 14.
Also... the bearded girls... most of them are autistic or have other very serious mental health issues. They have the highest rate of being unhappy trying to live life as a man.

You ever notice how these people get all the therapy in the world and still live fucked up miserable lives anyway? Like they make no progress but at least they have a fancy therapy-approved excuse for sucking at life.
Most of this mental health shit is just broke ass zoomers going nowhere in life trying to cope with their mediocrity by claiming every type of victimhood under the sun.
Just losers doing what they're best at: losing.

ADHD diagnoses especially are scuffed.
The system HAS TO force people to behave in ways that are increasingly remote from the natural pattern of human behavior. For example, the system needs scientists, mathematicians and engineers. It can’t function without them. So heavy pressure is put on children to excel in these fields. It isn’t natural for an adolescent human being to spend the bulk of his time sitting at a desk absorbed in study. A normal adolescent wants to spend his time in active contact with the real world. Among primitive peoples the things that children are trained to do tend to be in reasonable harmony with natural human impulses. Among the American Indians, for example, boys were trained in active outdoor pursuits—just the sort of thing that boys like. But in our society children are pushed into studying technical subjects, which most do grudgingly.

Then get more suicidal thoughts once on medication.
[–]didiinthesky [score hidden] 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Actually that's a misconception. You don't get more suicidal thoughts on antidepressants. In the first few weeks while you're building up to the right dosage you might still feel depressed, but you become less passive. This is the "danger zone" in which there's an increased risk of a suicide attempt. Because your thoughts are just as negative, but you become more active so you're more likely to act upon your suicidal thoughts.
Anyway, a professional will talk to you about these risks and help you to make a plan how you can keep yourself safe in these first few weeks. After those weeks are over the suicide risk is no longer heightened.
[–]Percentage930[S] [score hidden] 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Professionals are known to gaslight and the antidepressant itself may not make you suicidal but the side effects will. The whole psychiatric association is catastrophic. These pills are nothing but addictive death sentences.

[–]Percentage930[S] [score hidden] 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Your under the impression that these medications actually help you. They don't. Ask the people who already have taken them. There a mess. Why take the risk?
[–]fakehalo [score hidden] 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why generalize the outcome. Like everything else they work well for many people, sedate others or worse, focusing on the positive or negative is just supporting a bias.
But for me, an extremely vivid dissociative experience can do wonders like nothing else... It's amazing what can be resolved when you don't exist for a minute (or a couple months), when you don't have to maintain all the preexisting bullshit you've accumulated over your life, and just look backwards with a clean slate... it makes it hard to hate anyone or anything too deeply after the right wrong trip.
These subs are hate traps, real soul suckers. I'm in a ton of them that I have no personal stake in as a reminder of what happens when this shit is left unchecked. It's really just a bunch of people that got lost and I have no idea how to contribute to stopping that from happening... but I sure wish I did.

[–]Flash_4_Crab [score hidden] 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
"Support" offered
Ignore your problems and take these mind altering substances to make you feel like your problems don't exist.
[–]KayRay1994 [score hidden] 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
that’s flat out just shitty medicine - there are tons of drug free options you can take, i’m pretty anti taking these drugs unless they’re a last method + they should never be the cure, simply a cope or make you live your life easier as you work on the underlying problems. That being said, there are loads of therapists and psychologists who will respect your choice and actually work with you
[–]Flash_4_Crab [score hidden] 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What can a man do fix is "underlying problems" when he has his children taken away by the state and his ex-wife in divorce court.
Men typically become depressed when society takes away their ability to deal with the underlying problems.
for starters, “depressed” alone isn’t the only reason to see a professional - secondly, men can be depressed without “society taking away their ability to deal with the underlying problem” - in which case i do have to ask you, what did society take away from you?
Lastly, the example you provided is a poor one - as, given that it is real and there is very little “fixing” to make the situation better, the conversation we’re having is about mental health support as a whole, not about supporting men who’ve lost in divorce court.

The implication of the quote you posted is society is so sick everyone is some type of mentally ill. Our society creates it.
So you answered your own question. Why is everything a mental illness? Why does everyone need therapy? Because we live in a profoundly sick society that wires our brain pathways for anxiety and depression. Obviously.
[–][deleted] [score hidden] 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No, they are saying that many of the "mental illnesses", as classified by the mental health industry, are in fact completely normal reactions to the current state of society and therefore ought not to be fixed with therapy.
You're being intentionally obtuse and misinterpreting what they are saying.

Right just let the depressed stay that way until they off themselves and then say society made them do it. Brilliant.

well for starters because we now have the time and space to focus on our needs past basic survival - in the past, surviving under any means necessary was the norm, as such, things like mental health didn’t really take a focus - boomers, however, were raised under a “survival under all costs” mentality but their lives were relatively easy as survival is now the easy part - now you move on to millennials and gen z, who are raised under parents who had that mindset while living in relative ease - issues will crop up and generational issues that were neglected are now in the forefront. People were always mentally ill, difference is we now have the space to study it and understand it

Schizophrenia is a catch all term to describe people who the psychiatric establishment determines to have ideas they don’t like or thought processes they consider incorrect. Look up Thomas Szasz on YouTube. He’s in debates, panels, interviews and the like.
