This is familiar. I was dating a product director at a startup. All his female friends graduated from MIT or Stanford and went right to Google after college. I kinda get it tho. If 50/50 isn't doable for her, and he earns way more it would be logical if he pays more. He can afford it, so they should pay equal relatively to their income. Just look at it this wahy: A millionaire donating a $1000 seems like a lot, but thats just 0,1% of his income. A poor men earning $10.000 a year donating $500 seems like a lot less, but they just donated a full 5% of their income. So both parties should pay equally in percentage of income, not absolute numbers
