So I have been on this sub for awhile.

Stbxw has for some reason always had an issue with my employment length within my career with different companies.

For context she is a labor and delivery nurse and has worked at 2 different hospitals for the better part of 20 years

I have worked in sales engineering and technical services since 1998.

In that time period I have worked for 5 different companies over the years.

one for about 15 years, another for about 5, my current on year 3 (and things are going well - and I’m making more there then any other place) and some odds and ends in between for 6/9 months because I took a chance on myself and it just didn’t work out for 2 others.

With exception to the two I just stated, everything has always been a positive net increase from a monetary standpoint, so much to the point that she decided to cut her hours from working 3rd shift at the hospital to go on part time rotation but with the idea she would get so many minimum hours a week. So this is where it gets interesting. She has always taken an issue over the fact that I have always tried to advance myself professionally to make more money but she says leaving an employer and going somewhere else as a negative

I have tried to explain to her on multiple occasions that the fact that I work in technology and that things change consistently it’s not the same as what she experiences in her career as a labor and delivery nurse.

So fast forward to our situation as it relates to getting divorced and now I’m being questioned by her saying she needs to know all of my work history for like the last 20 years?

It’s interesting because she’s telling me it’s something her attorney wants but at the same time it’s not something my attorney is even asking for as a relates to her work history and I don’t see any other postings related to that on this page.

I almost feel like I’m trying to be like set up as somebody who can’t hold a job because all I’ve ever tried to do was try to make more money and to support my family at a higher level by taking different jobs throughout my career.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
