I'm going to confess something I never talk about, I am going to tell you something very painfull and I am only doing it because it really is relevant to this subreddit.

I am divorced, my wife was a cheater but that's not the big issue here, in fact, cheating is trivial by comparison.

When we were together and growing our family, we had two young sons and my wife learned we were going to have a third child. I was ecstatic, I loved being a father and always wanted a big family. I had a good job and made plenty to provide for us. My wife, on the other hand, didn't want the baby. She told me she didn't even want to tell me about it because she already made up her mind to have an abortion but was telling me because she thought it would bring us closer. She then revealed she had had several abortions before we met and it wasn't a big deal. I told her I wanted the baby and she told me it wasn't my choice, it was hers and she already made up her mind. Within days of that conversation, she did it. She murdered my child, from that day forward I was just marking the calendar and planning my exit. I didn't see her as a woman or a wife, she was a dependant and roommate. I was not at all attracted to her and over the remaining years of the marriage, I only touched her when it was the only possible way of avoiding a blowout fight. How dare she say I have no rights in this matter, how dare she decide it was her decision exclusively. She stopped being my wife and I no longer cared if she saw any other men, it was a relief to have somebody else deal with her. After the abortion she also minimized her duties as a mother, the kids went to daycare all day and she stayed home watching Oprah and other trash that supported her choices.

Men should have reproductive rights too, when it's our child it is critical we have a say in every aspect of that life.
