Maybe women are just socialized to take more responsibility for our own emotions, and apparently everyone else’s, but a lot of men especially in the manosphere blame women for a lot of problems women couldn’t possibly have caused.

Most of us have been blamed for the way men feel about something and had serious damage done to us because of it. The first two that come to mind for me are the guy who told his dad to fire me from my first job because I didn’t talk to him in high school and the guy who attempted to sexually assault me because as he said, I was “ignoring him”.

The first guy never once came up to me or spoke to me in high school, I didn’t even know he existed, and for people who want to come at me with “that’s the point” NO IT fucking isn’t. Plenty of people interacted with me on a daily basis. I had taken his photo in groups of people for the school paper. He actively avoided me so that he could whine about ME not talking to HIM.

It’s like if I didn’t become obsessed with him and follow him around like I did with nobody ever, it wasn’t “good enough” and he “had to” ruin my life. Losing that job put me on the streets. What kind of nut-job thinks anyone deserves that kind of “punishment” for the “crime” of not developing obsessions with guys who actively avoid her? He was just a rich entitled ass like a lot of guys at my school, but thought he was allowed to treat people (specifically women) like garbage because he was ugly.

I’ve been rejected. I’ve been sad. I’ve been suicidally depressed because size 4 is “too fat” and men only want a size 00. But I don’t understand taking that out on anyone. By what logic do you blame others, especially people who don’t know you/never met you, for your OWN emotions and self perception?
