Rich Western countries (and maybe rich Eastern ones like Japan too) are very incellious by nature. By "incellious" I mean the culture makes it relatively hard to get sex, romantic partners, or families.

I'm making very broad generalizations here, but in general Latin American and Caribbean societies seem to encourage men to sleep with women. As in men being heterosexual and banging different chicks is considered normal and widely accepted. Approaching or flirting with women is seen as normal. And in some African and Asian countries the cultures seem to be very marriage-oriented, as in women are expected to get married when they're young.

But in rich Western countries, at least in urban and suburban middle-class type areas, men expressing their heterosexuality, approaching women, etc. isn't accepted. And it's seen as normal for women to 'have fun' and not settle down til they're in their 30s or whatever. The idea of "the Wall" and biological clocks are vigorously denied.

If a young man grows up in LatAm, the Caribbean, Africa, or Asia, it seems like if he just goes with the flow and does normal stuff he'll just naturally end up with a gf, wife and kids, or baby mother(s).

But if the same young man grows up in rich western countries, and just goes with the flow, its much easier for him to just be perennially single. He's not allowed to approach women, cause that's creepy. He can't sexually harass them at school or at work. Dating apps are cockfests. Girls go to nightclubs to have fun with their friends, not be harassed by creepy men, you pervert. It's easy to just go through life completely ignoring women and vice versa and just be single forever.

The same thing applies for women. If a woman lives in LatAm, etc. etc., she'll likely be married and/or have kids at a young age just going with the flow. But if she lives in rich Western countries she's more likely to become another one of those women in their 30s or 40s saying "where are all the good men?"

One example I heard was a woman who was born in Africa and then moved to the West with her family at a young age. So she grew up in the West. Growing up in the West she never got married. Then she later moved back to the country where she was born, and a lot of people were also asking her why she wasn't married and berating her for not being married. I would bet that if her parents had stayed in Africa, she would've gotten married just going with the flow because that seems to be encouraged by the culture over there. But instead her parents moved to the West and she grew up in the Sex and the City type society where women don't get married young and feel they can get with Mr. Big in their 40s.
