I got my tattoos removed because I used to want them, and now I don’t want them. “I’ve never had tattoos” would be deceptive. I got mine removed because I used to not care about finding the highest value mate I could, and when my goals changed, I made the changes that helped me accomplish my goals.

I paid for a tattoo removal. It was a package that cost $1500 to do it repeatedly until it was gone. Each treatment would have been $150.

I went more than 30 times.

It’s not gone.

It drives me CRAZY to hear stories of success, or advertisements of 6-8 treatments.

It would seem to me that you were a person who no longer wants tattoos. I would call that a sign of maturity.

Getting tattoos removed is not deceptive. Lying about your body count would be. For example, I mean. If you are twisted up over tattoos, you probably are not lying to guys about that other thing.

Rightly a wrongly, men often associate tattoos with promiscuity. Also, it effs up our male gaze unless they’re symmetrical. Even then, it is often discordant because we think to ourselves “What are those doing there? Those don’t belong there.” We are visual creatures.

You need to explain what you mean by chameleon. I don’t think anyone here really knows.

Chameleons camouflage to look like their environment.

Are you saying you’re only removing your tattoos because you want to be more like the environment you have newly joined?

Are you saying you want to remove them just so men potentially like you more?

Are you saying you don’t want to remove them, but you feel like you have to in order to fit in?

I don’t know what you mean, but if you want to remove your tattoos just because you don’t like them anymore, that’s a pretty normal choice imo. I know a handful of people who have removed their tattoos, and no one thinks negatively of them for it.

That doesn't seem like a healthy way to think about one's self. Do you want to remove your tattoos to fit into some arbitrary version of a valuable woman that you've been reading about or because you genuinely don't like them anymore?

I know many HVM that love tattoos on women(myself included) , don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Be careful. Tattoo ink contains heavy metals that enter the blood stream during the tattoo removal process. Something to consider & thats why I’d never get a tattoo. Those heavy metals gather in your lymph nodes and can potentially cause cancer/autoimmune illnesses.

What type of tattoos are you looking to get removed? Is there a reason you want to get them removed - poorly done, bad art, placement?

I don't think it makes you a chameleon if you get tattoos removed, people do it for all sorts of reasons. But, I also don't think it has anything to do with securing commitment either. There's a lot of men who do and don't like a lot of things.

Im not really understanding your point of view. Being chameleon is actually a desirable trait. It shows that person is capable of changing and able to adapt to new enviroments. It is actually a problem if someone can't do it. Lets take an example where person comes from poor village and works hard to become CEO of big company. Do you really think that this person needs to keep the same habits, manners, dressing style etc just to keep showing that they came from poverty?

You’re doing the right thing. My fiancé had hers removed (she had 1 on her forearm) after we met without me even asking for it. It’s something she got when she was really young (maybe 20). It was painful and I supported her through the process. She slowly understood the negative connotations that went with it as she grew. Now she’s flawless. ❤️ Please don’t worry about the other aspects. Fix what you can (everything) and leave the rest to honesty with your partner. Make sure you bring good mental health and peace to him.

What are you saying by chameleon? A lot of humans base their entire personality and identity around being someone with tattoos — that’s pathetic to me. So who cares if you “blend in” as a chameleon with plain, uninked skin? Tattoos don’t make people unique. Let your personality show that you are your own individual, not plaster it on your body so the entire world knows from the start how different and quirky you are.
