This is one of my favorite lines that feminists use. They are the ones who fall hardest into this trap. Rich white women are the most privileged people on the planet, yet the continually cry soul play.

I kind of wonder how many people vote for politicians just because they aren't a white male. Surely there was some amount of people that voted for Obama just so it would serve as a symbol for how far we've come as a country.

And of course it is. He hates men even more than your average Jezebel author. In his mind, he looks inward and sees a festering sack of spineless, manipulative shit and to make himself feel better, he has to convince himself that it's not just him that's putrid slime, but all men.

Also, I love how feminists try to appeal to the "POC social justice" crowd by being disdainful towards against white males rather than just males. They've realized that the people involved with actual women's issues, the ones building schools in Kenya and such, have realized that feminists are generally rich, white women who are only trying to change society for their own benefit. They don't want to legislate men "out of power" they want to legislate men into positions where the men provide the rich women such as themselves the ability to be provided for without working hard.

If feminism ended, all these "feminist online warriors" would be out of a job, an identity, and an excuse to sit around all day and RAGE for the good of womynkind. This is why they constantly ally themselves with all of the various "wealth transfer" ideologies. Socialism, increase CS, pro-alimony, anti-prenuptial, reparations, affirmative action, artificially increased wages for women, etc. Feminism exists in order to sustain itself, like any business, and rather than encouraging women to become tech entrepreneurs, business innovators, etc etc feminism wants to just leech off of men's hard work. In a few countries there are even huge movements to increase the tax rate on men, and further increase the proportion of the tax money that goes towards female-specific ends.

I'm not even a libertarian or anything, but this type of wealth redistribution is just disgusting. You want to end men? Great plan, who will you leech off then?

Catholics in America would argue they had to work their asses off. So would a vast majority of Eastern Europeans. Hell, Catholics in Ireland have plenty of stories of oppression at the hands of the English. Protestants in Germany and northern Europe would also like to note they had to fight their asses off to gain recognition in post-reformation Europe. That's not "privilege" - that's something they had to earn.

Notice I didn't even have to bring up different races to show oppression and the like cross racial lines?

This argument is so full of holes it makes me puke. Those immigrants had to work through anti-papist sentiments that ran thick in the world. That crap Jezebel argument is so busy preaching how white men need to relax and love what's going on they forget many ethnic whites faced different forms of hatred that put them at a disadvantage in certain countries.

He's also very conveniently forgetting that most white men are not the guys that sit in higher office, and many come from working class families that are just as equal as their Black, Hispanic, and Asian neighbors.

Edit: yes, people ought to work based off of merit - that's a phenomenal and very correct approach to business, because nobody wants an idiot who inherited his way into power when he knows nothing of it. But riding on success isn't a bad thing, even if it's privileged. Damn right I'll defend people who are born into a good life - it's not their fault they were born up there... but as Hugo said, it's what they do with it that counts. I'd accept his points as valid if it wasn't riddled with such anti-male sentiment.

Our society is so obsessed with racism and sexism, we're being treated like it's still 1840 in America. They make everything into a racial or sexist issue even when it's not... and now people are working to prove they aren't racist or sexist by making unnecessary efforts to prove otherwise:

"Vote for Obama or you're racist!"
"Support gay rights or you're a homophobe!"
"You argue that a man accused of rape is innocent until proven guilty? - omg rape apology!"
"You don't like abortion? - misogynist!"
"You have a penis? - privileged!!!"

These guys need to read Moby Dick and realize they're the ones obsessed with this notion, not the majority of the civilized, western world - I say that 'cause I have to note there are obvious forms of oppression in the Third World (female mutilation in Africa, the rape craze in India, racism in Africa, anti-Jewish xenophobia among Arab nations, etc). And obviously, overcoming religious discrimination isn't the same as overcoming racism as a black man or sexism as a woman, but seriously?! - not all white men are smoking cigars and drinking brandy while their 40 servants do everything.... we only have 30 servants. I'm kinda laughing, as a white male, because it's not the end for me; actually far from it. I'm working a full time career and a side business. Mostly every guy I know has a couple irons in the fire. We're just stacking that paper, buying real estate, and working daily on our goals. It's gonna take a lot more than a couple blog posts to put and end to me.
