There was a post on a relationships sub literally yesterday.

A woman, who had been married for 15 years, who began her post by stating that her husband had issues surrounding sex because at the start of their relationship she had faked orgasms. Yes that's right, he was still milking an event from FIFTEEN PLUS years ago.

A week prior to the events that caused the OP to write the post, OP's husband had cut her inside her vagina while fingering her. This, apparently, is a frequent occurence, so they keep gloves in a bedside table. OPs husband still resists using these gloves because he "prefers" to "feel her" (remember, he means with his FINGERS, not his dick).

What happened to cause the OP to write the post is that a week after the fingernail incident, OP rejected her husband for sex because they were sleepy and she was concerned the lack of attention would lead to edward scissorvag 2.0. OP's husband performed the standard rape culture response to sexual rejection -- sulking and moping to punish her. When she later revealed the reason behind her turning him down, the scrote FLIPS and is furiously angry with the OP. He says multiple divorce worthy things, the culmination of which is him accusing the OP of being a dead fish in bed and then ACTING OUT a demonstration of OP being a dead fish in bed. This involved miming flopping around like a dead fish with his mouth open. OP by this point was sobbing. In spite of being clearly hurt, OP still managed to retain enough composure and demonstrate her superior capacity for civil behaviour by wishing her husband goodnight and telling him that she loved him before going to sleep. OPs husband later tells her that "they" need to communicate better to fix their bedroom problems. He asks her whether he should pack his bags and she tells him no.

Going back to the point of this, a real exchange from the comments section of the post, summarised for brevity and because I don't remember the exact words:

Yep, seeing these comments on the relationship advice subs just enforces the fact that men would rather defend another man that they don't even know rather than a woman who is suffering. They will go throughe every single hypothetical situation possible to excuse his bad behavior, because they inherently trust and empathize with men over women. That behavior, and the Devil's Advocate BS that LVM love to do, is completely unacceptable imo.
