I've always considered slutshaming a sad own goal no one benefits from.

By slutshaming i refer to shaming casual sex or provocative outfits. I do not refer to morally obvious wrong doing. Shaming a cheater isnt slutshaming. Shaming liars and manipulators doesnt fit either. Im talking about shaming sexuality for itself basically

Why is it a sad own goal ?

When i meet someone i dont want her to hold back and forbid herself things because of possible slutshaming

I dint want her to be afraid of what i could think of her if i consider she didnt challenge me enough before sleeping with me

I dont want her to feel dirty for sleeping with me

If im bad in bed no amount of slutshaming will save me from my partner noticing

If im good in bed it wont help me find a partner at all if i dont have sex to begin with

If i dont want a promiscuous woman, in a world with no slutshaming she wouldnt be as tempted to lie about it

It doesnt harm anyone when two ppl meet and have sex.

I faced slutshaming on a girl i met. I was an exchange student in usa and she got a ton of backlash for a really cute interaction we had. It was so undeserved, and i felt rly sad for her. It's not as if i had been a douche and she still threw herself at me, no we simply had a great hours long talk about everything and eventually being both attracted to each other we slept together.

Unattractive men are losing the most at this. With the cost of slutshaming, it has to be really worth it for women to engage and it favors the "chads". Also there's the fact that sleeping with the same amount of men but with average or unattractive men is seen as way worse

Anyway i could go on and on but i hope i made my point, we'd be way better off without any slutshaming and those judgments
