I'd say the ex-prostitute. A woman who used to enjoy sleeping with a lot of men but quit because she no longer sees any fun in it, is not really any different than dating a low body count woman, imo. Aside from that she'd probably have more knowledge about sex, how varied men's bodies and preferences can be, etc, but I have a hard time seeing that as a negative. An ex-prostitute probably knows really well how to please her future husband, and what gets herself going. A woman who is dedicated to marriage and monogamy is what will bring more value to the LTR/marriage-seeking part of the dating market, compared to a woman who's still in that mindset whether she slept around professionally or not.

This is basically what I've been trying to say all along. A person's past does not necessarily reflect their future actions. Body count does not guarantee a certain mindset or dating standard. People change, and the changes they make should be given credit. And no one can change their past. It's true that the past does reflect something, but it can be either negative (lacking morals due to making poor decisions) or positive (having learned a valuable lesson from previous poor decisions) and this is going to be individual. Or at the very least: two different types of people: the ones still doing the immoral stuff and justifying it to themselves, and the ones no longer doing it because they can no longer justify it to themselves.

I'm a woman with a high body count (around 20) but I stopped doing that almost 10 years ago because I stopped enjoying it and wanted to focus on just being a good partner for an LTR boyfriend/husband in a monogamous way. I realized that having a bunch of casual sex with strangers was just making me feel used, lonely and valued only for my body, and that it's not what I want deep down. Deep down I want love, and for sex to be the cherry on top of that with a guy I have an actual emotional bond and trust with. So I took steps to work through my issues and focus on my actual values and what I really want deep down. Still single, but still managing to not sleep around, because all I can really remember from all those casual sex encounters is all the negative stuff. So I don't even have cravings to fight off anymore. I'm like a former alcoholic who's now disgusted by booze.

So I changed, but what do I keep hearing from men I tell about my past? That I must be a cheater, riddled with STD's, unable to commit, comparing every guy to all the guys I was with in the past, etc. None of which reflects my actual reality. I've never cheated, I don't have any STD's, I don't have any lingering feelings for any of the guys I was with in the past, I have no issue with committing assuming there isn't any major issues with the relationship.

So does my body count really reflect what kinda partner I'd be? Aside from possibly being better at sex and having more knowledge about male anatomy than a woman who's only been with 1 or 2 guys, I don't think so. I'm just as capable of loyalty, emotional support, being nurturing, sharing chores, communication, honesty, etc, as any other woman, or heck person, is.

Because a big problem with men who think lowly of high body count women is that they make all kinds of assumptions based on that premise. Shit that's not necessarily true at all. And then you get rejected and scolded for shit you didn't do.

I'm also aware that slutshaming is incredibly common among women. Heck, I've been slutshamed by both men and women ever since long before I even gave up my virginity, purely because I used to dress provocatively back in my teens. And that vitriol obviously became worse as I started to actually sleep around. But at that point it was pretty much an "already did the time, might as well do the crime" kinda situation.

And to clarify, I would date a guy who has all kinds of shit in his past, granted that he's very clear about having stopped those behaviours and changed his view on them. Be it generally sketchy behaviour like cheating, sleeping around, seeing prostitutes, porn addiction, alcoholism, drug addiction, etc, or actually illegal stuff like drug dealing, being a pimp, sexual assault, beating someone up, etc. To clarify I do not believe I can "fix" a guy who's currently involved in mess like that, nor would I ever want to date someone who hasn't changed at all, but I'd absolutely be interested if he's already "fixed" himself with whatever morally questionable behaviours he has in his past.

If anything, I think people who are up front about having done bad shit and then changed, are some of the most trustworthy and emotionally mature people out there. Because they show they've grown a lot as people. Because it takes a lot of honesty and trust in oneself to be able to admit such a thing and be confident it won't happen again, and willing to prove it. That level of vulnerability is hugely admirable, imo. It's a true test of mental strength.

Besides, I think a guy with a similar learning curve as me would be more likely to understand me. Both he and I might need to prove that we're really better people now than we used to be, but I think that's fair, as long as that game isn't rigged.

The prostitute. Your question is about "value she brings to a man" here, not who will have it easier, which is what I'm basing my answer on.

Even among men you'll find some open/unrestricted sociosexuality individuals who don't care about dating ex-sex worker, former stripper, or otherwise very high n-count women. And assuming these men are part of the social norm who eventually want marriage and possibly a family, the former sex worker will provide that to him over some non-sex worker who just wants to have fun.

If he's one of those dudes who clutch their pearls at anyone having more than one sexual partner, then neither. If he'd be embarrassed to be with a former sex worker but wouldn't mind someone who just had some fun during their life, then the "regular" girl. And it also depends if the guy wants to get married and have kids or not.
