On the individual level, it will take constant vigilance against internalizing society’s tendency not to respect men’s intrinsic worth, and to see us as valuable only if we can sustain a relationship with a woman (who will see us as the bane of her existence).

On the societal level, well, it would be nice if society stopped doing that, so we wouldn’t constantly be pushing against it, and could just live our own lives.

While I agree that, due to modern gender relations, its usually safer to avoid getting into any bother. In the long term both genders need each other for survival due to reproduction so this mentality will not survive. Of course people are free to live as they see fit.

It's kind of like asking when people will stop caring about babies, we are hard wires to find babies cute and they instill in us a protective instinct regardless of who you are that your higher instinct is powerless to change. The same is true with women, quite frankly, each woman is simply more valuable to a society than any one man because of the way reproduction works. Having a baby is a very labor intensive and risky process and a woman can only have at most one per year, during which she is nearly powerless to provide for herself and after the baby is born she needs to rely heavily on the man to bring home the bacon while she puts all of her focus on the child.

There is a biological incentive to provide for women and meet their every need the same way you provide and protect babies. Each woman is important, a tribe which suffers from a plague that wipes out everyone except for 5 men and 50 women could easily recover and within a few generations become a thriving community with hundreds of individuals, whereas a community which was left with 50 men and 5 women is pretty much fucked.

I suppose long story short, humans are hard wired to value every woman and those aspects can't be changed.

The world you speak of is the one I live in. I have friends, family, and pay for play. And I work a lot, travel, pay for everything. It’s there I think men forget that it’s available. You have to bend the “rules” a bit but you’ll get all parts you need to a happy life.

"Need" is a weird word for it, but I think most people with healthy relationships with the opposite gender understand that you don't need the other. Of course you need them to have kids, or to build a family. But you don't need them to live a happy life.

Like you said, validation seeking or other pathologies can be a the reason that people feel like they need women or they can't survive. Maybe you should treat it like an unhealthy addiction so you can get it out of your mind.

I don't "need" a girlfriend, a loving partner or wife, I dont need to be in a relationship sure

But I definitely want to be in a relationship, not because of any social pressuring bullshit (although I understand that has happened before and will in the future) but just because Its what I want. Having a partner is a desire most of us have, and It makes alot of sense why. We are a naturally social species, some of us can handle isolation but for the most part the lack of human interaction can become maddening.

Having a healthy relationship can improve your mental wellbeing by alot, which shows we as a species naturally desire relationships. I dunno what my point is tbh, I'm just saying that while we might not nessisarily need to be in love with another, it's something most definitely desire.

I've been going through this for the last decade. I don't need a woman. However, after all the inner work I've done, I reached an undeniable conclusion: a healthy, loving relationship with a woman brings me tremendous amounts of joy, stength and happiness.

Then I had a second realization as an implication: modern discourse by feminists and Western women is delusional, toxic, destructive, harmful to society, wrong, misguided and so on.

It's not that it's clear-cut for everyone, but for most people, men and women, a healthy relationship is one of the greatest sources of happiness. It's in our nature to look for such relationships. It's nurturting both to the man and the woman, and if they have children—for their children even more so.

It's not 50/50 either. Everyone has different needs to various degrees and success comes when the two people in the relationship (I forgot gays, it's true for them, too, I could only assume) find the middle ground, the right amount of compatibility required to have a stable and loving relationship.

There are absolutely women who are looking for what you're looking for, who know these things because they haven't been indoctrinated.

Yes, societal, economical, political, etc. norms have changed and there's lots of good in those changes, e.g. men and women being on a level ground of opportunity and freedom in life. As a consequence relationships have also changed but at their core, they're the same.

Don't ever listen to the modern radical feminist doctrine regarding this context. Ever. It's sending women to a steep, rocky and thorny downward slope. Nurture your values, honor your emotional life and needs and look for someone who wants the same as you. Don't neglect, repress, suppress, deny, etc. that part of your masculinity (yes, men do want intimacy and relationships). Don't try to get rid of it. Just realize and accept that you may not find that woman and/or it will require that you work on yourself at least a little bit to adapt to this new reality.

There is nothing for us to learn. We know exactly what we need women for and what we don’t need them for.

We both have needs men and women. The goal of life is to get all your needs met.

Identify what you need and why you typically get into relationships: - companionship - romance/dinners - physical touch - sex - emotional connection - nurturing - compassion and friendship of a woman - ability to express yourself emotionally

Then figure out which of these you can meet on your own, and which of these you can meet via friends, including the opposite gender.

Typically women who are super “strong and independent”, have a lot of friends that care about them, have easy access to dick, have dildos, hobbies etc.

The world of man is a lot more fierce though. And i think its a lot easier to get your needs met as a woman without a romantic relationship as opposed to a man.

I think a hugely funny thing about a lot of these debates from men and women is that we're all here because an man and woman found and needed each other.

Look men already don't need women. Some men want women for sex, family, comfort...but none of us need women unless we want to reproduce. FWIW I'm in my 40s and have met several men who haven't had a romantic relationship in their adult life. Most seemed pretty content or happy in life. Some weren't complete social rejects either. Personally I'd never want to live in a world where men and women really feel they don't need each other

In my opinion you don't need to think like that.

I think men just have to become more stern in terms of having standards, asserting their needs and wants, and not take on submissive or pleasing roles by default in relationships.

We can achieve this by male support networks, having a common voice for the needs of men, and fighting back against toxic ideologies who aim at undermining men.

In fact, a lot of women respond extremely well to assertive men. They tend to claim the opposite, but in my experience they like it when you stand up for your opinions and needs.

Btw, I'm not talking about bossing women around or playing Andrew Tate here. Just making sure that you get what you need from your relationship. I.e if you have a hobby you make sure there's equipment, space and time for that in your relationship. And that you make sure you can keep your friends, with boys nights, skiing trips or whatever that might entail.

I think the solution is to follow a more rigorous standard of egalitarianism, cultivate intellectualism, spread and enable true democracy, and work towards socialism.

I also think that spirituality is also rather useful, but not essential, towards understanding the self and your relationship to those around you.

It's far more important to find peers than it is to find sexual gratification. Romantic ideals are just that. Ideals. Don't hate yourself for not being ready to provide support in a loving relationship, and judge others less for their inability as well.

Just accept that some people aren't ready, and you may be one of them.

I'm not really sure that is possible - or desireable; basically it would mean de-sexing men, since a large part of them fulfilling their biological role as a sex depends upon them seeking and maintaining sexual and familial relationships with women.

Members of both sexes typically has a set of attitudes towards the other sex that helps them gain influence and profit within and from these relationships, and though they have a biological basis they are also affected by culture.

I think what can (and should) be hoped for is to affect culture to make toxic behaviours from both sides less profitable.

There's literally nothing you need to do. If you already aren't cleaning up after yourself, you've failed as an adult. If you don't help maintain common areas in the house, you've failed as a housemate. If you don't take care of your children, you've failed as a father.

It's nice to have help, and when raising kids, and ideally, to be in a loving, and mutually supportive relationship with the baby momma. But it isn't necessary.

Once you realize they aren't needed, it's almost like you give yourself permission to solve problems. Sometimes that problem is babysitting, or going to the ER, etc.: you only have to step up.

I think your mistake is imagining this in the "world," as you say. That isn't going to happen. It CAN happen in your life, though. You have the power to choose who you allow in your life. Keep your eyes open for an eligible woman who "gets it" and proudly maintains an independent, self-sufficient life, even when in a relationship.

Avoid liberal women no matter what you do, because they make their men miserable. If you ever do meet that special woman, maintain seperate residences for at least two years. Set distinct boundaries, especially financial ones, and enjoy your time together for as long as the relationship compliments your happiness. Good luck!
