Referring to them as potential “waste of space” and suggesting girls should be “mobilised” to fix them is not only patronising, it’s blatantly sexist. If such remarks were made about girls, there would be national outrage.

This kind of rhetoric feeds into a growing anti-masculinity narrative, where boys are seen as inherently flawed and girls as their saviours. This is the former Labour Education Secretary saying this. These same people, with no sense of irony, are dumbfounded that young men are moving to the far-right. I refuse to believe that they can’t connect the dots, I just think they turn a blind eye because it doesn’t align with their politics. I hope Labour are kicked out of government at the next election - this coupled with women getting less jail time for the same crime, laughing at suggesting young boys/men need help - it’s misandry and it’s unacceptable.

He starts off with a passable point that girls won't be interested in those with no drive or motivation, and then completely misses the point by blaming them for being lazy. He even gives pay to the adage of hard work and motivation will be rewarded, yet we know that's utter nonsense these.

Hell, we have an entire generation of disenfranchised youths who have seen that hard work and dedication os rewarded with more work, less pay, and being left behind.
But really, who should be surprised that a 78 year old is out of touch with reality.

I think schools need to stop promoting anti male poison. And stop indoctrinating boys with shared guilt about how evil they are.

This poison at an institutional level is what the problem is. Girls are not failing because millions of dollars are thrown at them as supports, while boys get blamed and indoctrinated with poison from their schools and universities.

Edit: i also seeall this as our institutions are panicking that population replacenent has collapsed and the important sectors men dominate like construction, trade, roadworks, garvage collection will suffer if men switch off. So men at the top are panicked that the male save drones are not puttibg on a stiff upper lip and being a good minion. While young women drain taxes, get free health scans, get scholarahips in uni etc, get celebrated when they overtake boys and young get nothing and get jeered when they recognize this bs.

It's panic of our institutions. But you can see in their anger just how deep the anti male poison goes. Its just the mask coming off slowly. This bile must be drawn out. Boys can see how hated they are.

All this does is, it forces 80% of guys to not see it worth it to work hard to get nowhere, so they will focus on what they can do well and enjoy. Which is work a simple pointless job and make enough money to enjoy simple entertainments. Like videogames and triple X media.

And the 20% of guys who happen to have a few lucky circumstances that allows them to have a clear path of success, they deal with being seen as trash by girls as these guys grow in their teens, turn 20, grow some more, and eventually surpass the women who arrogantly believe they are superior to guys. And once these guys turn about 30+, and find themselves far above these women, the superiority roles are reversed to where these 20% men are at the top of the value hierarchy.

And these guys think, “girls, we’re not going to pick you for a relationship unless you show you're worth it. Until then, I will have sex with you, and 10 other women this week. Until I get bored and want another batch later."

"And because I'm the guy you wanted, the guy who rises above the rest, you'll keep coming for more."

The funny thing is, even the women who are into both men and women, still go for these 20% guys because they tend to have climbed so high in value, that even other women can't compete with them.

Seeing as this guy thinks boys are simply beasts of burden, we'll use an animal metaphor to point out the flaw in his reasoning. He's suggesting using the cattle prod to force men into producing, but the cattle prod will only get you so far if you refuse to feed and nourish the cattle. If the animal has collapsed from starvation and neglect you can't prod it into dragging it's carcass on.

Boys and men are the ones spiritually starved and neglected. Robbed of purpose, meaning, and sidelined. You are going to dangle a carrot or beat us with a stick when we're this tired and broken? Good luck. You can't get blood from a stone.
