This question is wrong on so many levels 😀 for me it's important the reason why sex didn't happen - was she scared/shy, bad logistics, vibe wasn't right or is she just not interested or is toying with me?

For me the only reason to cut her off would be the last one, anything else and I know it's gonna happen sooner or later, it's not a set number for me.

So if we both know it’s a one time fling then 1. This can be either due to one or both people traveling for example. Mostly 2-3, although I’ve had a couple happen on 4. It should happen by 4 at least in my experience. I’m sure some can argue 5 or more if it’s progressing.

If there isn’t a hint of sexuality after date 1, I bounce. My resources are limited and I know and have been with women who have been down on date 1 so I don’t waste my time. Her attraction to me is probably too low to justify more sunk cost.

Second date. From our perspective the should have been a spark and attraction the first date. You should have escalated enough to the point where you are comfortable with each contact other that’s not sexual. And you should have flirted enough and smoothly introduced certain aspects of sex without just asking for it. Example: you might as well be naked while it’s this cold outside when I had on one layer of a jacket.

By the second date we will engage even. Grab something when you make out. Say something slick like I think we should play board games at your house.

Here's how I handle it, and admittedly I am considered a Tyrone or a Chad with a somewhat large and chiseled jawline and eyelids cut by the sun.

I tell them that I want them to pay for the first date, after the date I tell them I had a great time and want to make an intimate connection via sex, if they say they want to take it slow I'll say that I am willing within reason, to go on as many dates as they'd like providing they continue to pay for them.
